REVIEW: Happy Fkin Sunshine Delivers On Comedic Relief In DWF 25th Premiere

This film is one of the best this year has to offer!

‘Happy Fkin Sunshine’ recently premiered at the iconic Dance With Films 25th Annual Film Fest-and it did not disappoint.

The story focuses on a rambunctious group of characters, including successful weed-entrepreneur Ronnie and her idealistic brother Will. When the mill in their small town goes on strike, Will wants to start a band, Ronnie uses her weed profits to buy Will an electric guitar, and off we go on a hilarious journey. Will enlists local outcast Artie as the bass player, which instantly becomes a bad idea, and it doesn’t help to have Vince, the egotistical lead singer. But the musical chemistry is undeniable, and the band just might hit the big time. If they can survive each other first.

One of our entertainment reporters, Jojo Gentil, attended its world premiere on June 17th, and had nothing but great things to say about it:

“This lively Canadian crew, captured awkwardness, liveliness, humor and drama all in one film. Their vividly delineated characters bring to life a unique nostalgic feeling story worth watching.”– Jojo Gentil

She also wanted to credit the amazing cast and crew for being extremely kind and welcoming.

We absolutely loved this film and we can’t wait to see where it and its cast end up going.
