You have Bizzy to thank for some of your favorite songs!
From Leon Thomas’ “MUTT” to Kehlani’s “Sweet Nuthins”, Bizzy Crook is a next-level talent when it comes to making hits; after all, he didn’t become a Grammy-winning songwriter for nothing. In addition to being the lyricist behind the latest bops, he’s also an incredible artist in his own right. His music is amazing and his upcoming album “Underdogs Win Eventually” is truly a masterpiece.
We had the absolute honor of speaking with Bizzy about his dream songwriting collab, his Spotify success, and more!
You are lethal with a pen. When it comes to your songwriting process, do you have a certain protocol for finding inspiration and writing lyrics?
B: “Silence. I’m more an observer than a talker. I see poetry everywhere. People ask me why I’m so quiet, I’m usually writing a song in my head. I go on 5 mile walks every day and that’s where my best stuff comes to me.”

Congratulations on your upcoming studio album “Underdogs Win Eventually”! How did this project come to be?
B: “Losing and winning in real time. I started the project in 2023. Today’s album is not the same album as it was then, I recorded over 100 songs for it. It was a real journey.”
If you had to choose, which track from your upcoming album are you most excited for the world to hear?
B: “It’s a song that almost didn’t make the album. It was on it, then it wasn’t. Things get moved around a bit. Then a misfortune worked out in our favor. There was a song we couldn’t clear the sample to, which opened the door for this song. It’s called “It’s Never Over,” and pretty much sums up my musical journey over three verses.”
Can we talk about your GRAMMYs?! How does it feel to be a GRAMMY-winning songwriter?
B: “It feels surreal. I myself forget sometimes. Humbled, grateful, all at the same time. Inspired, God’s confirmation. Back in the studio chasing the next one.”

Aside from your work with other artists, let’s not forget that you are an icon all on your own. You have over 10 Million streams on Spotify alone! What has been your reaction to your fame and success as an artist?
B: “I’m grateful for everything. Every fan, every listen, every stream. I remember when this was just an idea, an 8-year-old kid begging his cousins to listen to his music, or let him write them a song. I’m excited to take it all the way, and cement my feet in the game.”
We’re convinced that every record, regardless if it’s for yourself or another artist, turns to gold. With this in mind, if you had to choose who would be your dream artist to write a hit song for?
B: “Olivia Rodrigo! I absolutely love her. I hear so many lyrics that I wish I thought of.”
Make sure to stream “Underdogs Win Eventually”, releasing on July 10th on all music platforms!
