LA-Artist Izza Talks About Her Rising Fame, Coachella, And Names Her Dream Music Collab

Izza is the galaxy-pop star we all needed.

From ‘Love Bracelets’ to ‘POPSTAR’, music artist Izza is known for her amazing voice. She released a full-length EP titled ‘Stargirl’. And spoiler alert: it’s a bop.

We had the amazing honor of talking with Izza about the music scene in Los Angeles, her single ‘X-Ray’, and more!

When did you first realize that you wanted to pursue a career in music? 

I: “I knew I always wanted to be an entertainer. Growing up, I took dance classes, played piano, and loved singing. There was no greater feeling of happiness I had than when I listened to music. It wasn’t until I was 13 when I discovered songwriting and I instantly knew I wanted to pursue music as a career.”

Tell us more about your amazing new single ‘X-Ray’.

I: “I wrote X-RAY because I was trying to understand why I kept falling into the same toxic patterns with relationships. It’s easy to diagnose physical pain with an X-ray, but I wanted a mental X-ray to diagnose the emotional pain that wasn’t visible.”

If you had to choose, what has been your favorite song you have released and why?

I: “That’s so hard! All of my songs are so special to me for different reasons. Lately, I’ve been loving my song Coup d’état because I think the lyrics are so fun and it’s about one of my favorite cities, Paris!”

How would you describe the music scene in Los Angeles?

I: “The L.A. music scene is super diverse and I’m always surrounded by artists, producers, and managers that work in different genres. It’s inspiring to be around so many creative people.”

If you could collab on a song with any artist, who would it be and why?

I: “I would love to collaborate with Pharrell Williams. He has been a huge inspiration to me since I was a teenager and I really respect him as a producer and an artist.”

You recently went to Coachella! What was your experience like?

I: “Coachella is always a blast! This was my ninth Coachella and I always say it’s my favorite holiday. To me, Coachella is my Christmas. It’s a time of year I always look forward to.”

You have over 1 Million streams on your music! Is there anything you want to say to your fans?

I: “I love all of my fans and I am so grateful for their support. It means the world to me that I can connect with people over the music I make. I can’t thank them enough.”
