“The Hyperions” Actress Indi Star On New Superhero Character, Zendaya, And Dance Career

This actress is back with another amazing role!

Indi Star is definitely not a stranger to our TV screens. She has had fan-loved roles in all of our favorite shows, from Nickelodeon’s “Henry Danger” to Brat TV’s “Charmers”. Now, she stars as ‘Young Vista’ in the superhero film “The Hyperions”.

We had the amazing honor of talking with Indi on biggest goals, moving to LA, and more!

Q: When did you first decide that you wanted to pursue a career in acting?

I: “When I was younger and I lived in Massachusetts, my best friend and I auditioned for a few plays in our hometown. I was very interested in behind the scenes for shows and I started loving acting! I moved to LA when I was 8 years old with my family and we loved it!”

Q: Tell us about your amazing new role as “Young Vista” in “The Hyperions”.

I: “I play a younger version of Penelope Mitchell’s character, Vista! I am a superhero with mind reading powers! I had such an amazing time working with Cary Elwes and I really hope you all enjoy it! 

Q: Do you think you have anything in common with your character?”

I: “Young Vista I feel always wants to have the last word and I can relate to that Ahhahah! She also is a bit guarded and I am actually a pretty shy person, so we have that in common as well.”

Q: Which is more challenging; a movie or a reoccurring TV role?

I: “I think they are both challenging in their own ways. I have been in love with all of the roles I play though, and I am super grateful for everything.”‘

Q: If you could star in a TV show with any actress, who would it be and why?

I: “Definitely Zendaya! I have always looked up to her and I personally think she is an amazing actress.”

Q: You also have amazing dance training; What is your favorite style of dance and why?

I: “Thank you! My favorite style of dance is definitely contemporary and acro, I love contemporary because it has so much technique and emotion in the dances.”

Q: What advice do you have for young girls trying to pursue a career in this industry?

I: “Don’t listen to other people’s opinions, choose yourself and trust your gut! But also, find good guides and role models in the industry that you trust and learn from them and take their advice. You really have to learn who to trust because many people may seem like they are helping you but this business has its share of fake friends.”

Q: When not working, what are some of your favorite things to do?

I: “I love art, I think it’s a great way to express emotions and I always have a fun time doing it! I also love movies, TV and streaming services. I like to spend time with my family and friends as well!”

Q: What are some of your biggest goals for your career?

I: “I would love to travel through many different countries on tour!! My big goal right now is to create an album and then a stage performance and go on tour!”
