This Dancer is becoming a rising star!
Both an amazing dancer and influencer, Amelie has already experienced incredible things, including dancing with Justin Beiber on his Purpose Tour, and starring with Jules Leblanc in the hit show “Chicken Girls”.
We had the honor of talking with Amelie on everything including how she got started dances, her acting role, and balancing school and work:
Q: First of all, how have you been staying sane during these hectic times?
A: “Hahah idek.. just kidding. Quarantine has been so weird, but also so amazing on so many different levels, I am just so grateful to still be able to create content, and stay safe as well:))“
Q: Tell us about your upbringing in Florida.
A: ” I was born in Winter Park, FL, in 2004, where my mother, who is originally from Buenos Aires, mostly grew up in the area. A couple of years after I was born, my father decided it would be best to move back to his hometown, so we did, and it has been amazing. I live on a 9-acre farm, and we own a beautiful plant nursery. I have the best little brother, five dogs, and a pet pig named Pickles that lives in his barn, not inside the house. Haha! I feel very fortunate to have my family and spent a lot of quality time with my father in my younger years.“
Q: You have been dancing since the age of seven. How did you first get into dance?
A: “This question is amazing. My whole career started with dance, and being able to dance is a feeling I cherish every day. I began to dance at the age of seven, when there were no gymnastics/acrobatic studios in my town. However, there was a dance studio, so I started to take dance classes.“
Q: You danced backup for Justin Bieber’s Purpose Tour in 2016. Is there anything you learned from this opportunity that has helped or influenced you throughout your career?
A: “Ah yes, my big break into the entertainment industry was when I was 12 years old and danced on stage with Justin Bieber. That moment changed my life forever and allowed me to really see my true passion and calling. Justin taught me and is teaching me so many things, and he has truly made such an impact in my life. I’ll never forget him tell me to ‘always believe in myself, follow my dreams, and remember my roots.”
Q: How does it feel knowing you were the face of the campaign for Sebastian Yatra’s exclusive line with the Totto Brand?
A: ‘Working on the campaign with Sebastian Yatra was a surreal experience, and getting to be one of the campaign’s faces was so exciting. At first, I was a little nervous because Sebastian is such a big name and has worked with the Jonas Brothers and more, so I wasn’t sure how he was going to be, but he immediately started to talk to all of us like we were his buddies, like we had been friends a long time, like he was just like us I was blown away by his kindness and by the way that the entire staff and crew treated everybody. It was one of the friendliest sets I’ve ever been on. I am incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to support Yatra and help bring his creations to life. Totto Brand’s and Yatra’s passion for creating a line for people of all ages to enjoy and to bring such vibrant and eclectic designs to the world is pretty remarkable.“
Q: You also starred in season 6 of Brat TV’s Chicken Girls. Were you already a fan of the show yourself or was the show totally new to you?
A: “Yasss:) I actually knew a lot about Chicken Girls and was definitely a fan. Brat and the creators of Chicken Girls were able to create such a dynamic and interesting hit show with so many different individuals and talent of different scopes.“
Q: What was your reaction when you found out that you had been cast for the role as Sadie?
A: “I cannot even begin to express the level of excitement I had when I found out I booked the role of Sadie. I was over the moon, and the moment I got offered this project, I had no doubts about wanting to do it. I was immediately invested and excited to join such an amazing cast of incredibly talented individuals and make new friends. I am so grateful.”
Q: What has been your favorite experience working on set with the cast of Chicken Girls?
A: “Oh my goodness I have so many amazing memories from filming Chicken Girls. I really just loved all the fun things the cast and I would do behind the scenes. We all just have so much fun on set.”
Q: Do you find it difficult or easy to manage school work along with all the exciting things you’re participating in for your career?
A: “You know it’s not always easy, especially at first. It took time for me to find the right balance of school and work… However, on set we actually have a specific time for school, etc.. and it’s so amazing because it really keeps us focused and balanced.”
Q: You’ve already begun crafting such an impressive resume at a young age. What’s next for Amelie Anstett?
A: “I have many BIG career goals, and I am so thankful to be given the opportunities and have such an amazing support system. I am a big believer in “everything happens for a reason,” so I continue to follow my path and work incredibly hard to make my dreams come true. I just really hope to be able to use my platform to spread positivity and lift people up. I love interacting with my fans and those who support me because I want them to know I support them just the same. I think that this generation is different from the rest, and I would love to use my motto, “Be Original,” to share that it is amazing to be who you truly are.”
