Country Artist Dani Taylor Talks Nashville, Touring, And New Single “Midnight Cowgirl”

Dani Taylor has been impressing us more and more! The popular country singer recently released her first ever EP, entitled “Dani Taylor.”

Since the release, Dani secured a spot on last week’s Rolling Stone Country Music Picks with her music video to the track, “Midnight Cowgirl.” Dani has also been featured on Spotify’s Wild Country, New Boots, Breakout Country and Next From Nashville playlists among others.

We had the honor of talking with Dani on all things music, goals, and the evolution of her career:

Q: What influenced you to begin your professional music career?

D: “Patsy Cline really influenced me personally because her songs and singing style spoke to my soul. From that point, I knew music was what I wanted to do as a career.”

Q: Tell us about your new single “Midnight Cowgirl”.

D: “Midnight Cowgirl is about someone who loves the wrong people and realizes until she can love herself, she cannot give love to others in a healthy way. It’s about a girl who gets treated negatively by partners and she allows this because she doesn’t know any better and she’s stuck in a negative lonely cycle of giving everything she has for nothing in return. “Pull back on the reigns” is the idea of stopping that cycle of pursuing toxic relationships and finally finding love for oneself and the strength to leave the people that can’t give love back.”

Q: Has moving to Nashville changed your music career in any way?

D: “Moving to Nashville opened up a lot of co-writing opportunities and networking, which has allowed my musical journey to expand and grow.”

Q: If you could feature on a song with any artist, who would it be and why?

D: “Heaven by Kane Brown. I think it’s the perfect song for a duet, and I’d love to perform it with him.”

Q: You just released your brand new EP, “Dani Taylor”. What is your favorite song on it?

D: “Definitely Midnight Cowgirl. That song helped me realize a lot about myself. It’s one of the first songs I have written about myself. I believe it’s important to take the love you give to toxic people and give it to yourself. You’ll be a lot happier in life.”

Q: Where can we follow your amazing journey?
