An artist changing the music game forever.
If you are looking for music that is unlike anything you’ve ever heard before, then you need to start listening to King Kaye. An incredible visionary, he creates deep, inspiring music that is worth giving a listen.
We had the absolute pleasure of speaking with King about what the infinity symbol means to him, his favorite release thus far, and more!
Congratulations on “Enlighten Me”! Can you tell us more about the creative process behind putting it together?
K: “I don’t remember much about the creation process. What I do remember is that it all started with the lead sound—and from there, everything just flowed out of me in one sitting.
The lyrics began as affirmations, centered around the idea of becoming the most enlightened version of myself. But as I wrote, I started to question something deeper: Would being free from pain actually lead me to understand things we’re not meant to understand?
On one level, it’s a cry for clarity—a request to be shown the truth. But on another level, it’s a challenge. A dare. Like: “Go ahead. Enlighten me.” Reveal it all.”
What would be your best piece of advice to listeners who feel lost and are hoping to find themselves again?
K: “Lose yourself in the things you love. Indulge in all forms of art—because that’s where the unexpected questions live. The ones that catch you off guard and change you.
The deeper your sense of self, the easier it becomes to connect with everything around you. Art is a mirror. All living things are mirrors. The more clearly you see yourself, the more clearly you see the world.
There will be things that we then fear, or even disassociate with. Which brings us back to the question, is that what we really want? In my opinion, absolutely.”
This may be difficult, but going off of your current discography, what has been your favorite release and why?
K: “It might sound cliché, but without a doubt—this release, “Enlighten Me,” has been the most
special. I’ve had some beautiful release parties and unforgettable shows, each one meaningful in its
own way.
But everything leading up to this moment made it feel different. Bigger. For the first time, I handed over parts of my personal work and invited others into the process. Collaborating with Poeppel in the studio, organizing a video shoot that was way more ambitious (and honestly, scarier) than anything I’d ever attempted, and working closely with my manager Fran—it all built this incredible sense of momentum. But more importantly, it created something I could share. Not just a song, but an experience. I push myself to outdo my last project every time—and I’m not stopping. This is just the beginning.”
The infinity symbol has been closely associated with you as an artist. Where did that correlation come from?
K: “My number one inspiration has always been my late uncle.
The infinity symbol became a kind of synchronicity between us. When I was younger, he’d ask me to draw it for him—again and again—so I’d never forget. After he passed, I inherited his work, his books, and his collections. They’ve become a well of inspiration that continues to shape everything I create. His spirit lives on through my art. Infinity—just like he said. Just like he said I would be. Infinite.”

How do you think you’ve evolved as both a person and a music artist in the last five years, from your quarantine project Nothing But A Pipe Dream back in 2020 to now?
K: “A lot of my earlier work was rooted in self-exploration—always chasing, always reaching for the life I thought I was looking for. But now, after maturing and going through some real hardships, this single—and the rest of the project—feels different.
It feels like an arrival.
Like: I’m here. This is who I am.
There’s no longer a need to search for what’s to come. Just a quiet reassurance that I’m showing up fully—and doing everything to the best of my ability.
Where can we follow more of your amazing journey?
K: “The best place to stay connected is through my website: www.kingkaye.com. You can also find me on Instagram: @kingkaye.sound and on YouTube: kingkaye_sound.
Tap in. Big things are coming.”
