The word ‘incredible’ just doesn’t describe Ella enough!
One artist who continues to be at the top of the list of artists we would recommend for anyone looking for music is Ella Rosa, especially, when we take into account her newest bop ‘STAY 4 LOVE’.
We had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Ella about, attending music school, and more!
When did you first realize that you wanted to pursue a career in music?
E: “I remember being 4 years old, standing in the kitchen, and making my parents watch me sing. I think from that moment on I knew it was what I was going to do forever.”
Tell us more about your new single ‘STAY 4 LOVE’ and how it came to be?
E: “It’s a pretty funny story as to how “STAY 4 LOVE” came to be. It’s basically me reflecting on some really embarrassing moments in my love life where I’ve stayed out too long or put up with a lot of shit purely in the hopes that I’d get a kiss or a boy would be interested in me. It was so much fun to work with Anwar Sawyer, Donny Bravo, and Max Margolis on this song!”
Who would you credit as some of your biggest music inspirations?
E: “Sade, Sting, SWV, and Shygirl.”
If you had to choose, what is your favorite song you have released so far and why?
E: “I think “y u?” — I just love that song so much.”
Your music has garnered millions of streams already! How do you feel about that? What has been your reaction to your rising fame?
E: “Omg, rising to fame is an insane thought! I still feel like a little kid in my mind, so it’s really exciting to see my dreams literally coming true.”
You originally studied opera at The New School in New York! Do you think professional education is important for a musician’s career? Would you recommend studying music professionally to fellow artists/singers?
E: “That’s a tough one because I think I’d be a lot further along with the music career I’m pursuing now if I hadn’t gone to music school. But, I also met so many people through school and was able to learn so much.”
What would you say has been the most validating moment of your career thus far?
E: “Honestly, every day is validating because I get to wake up and create art. It feels like something out of a movie, I swear!”
Where can we follow your amazing journey?
E: “You can find me @itsellamusic everywhere!!”
Make sure to stream ‘STAY 4 LOVE’, available now on all music platforms!
