A young star in the making!
With an IMDB page full of credits, Celestina Harris is quickly becoming a name to know in the acting industry. She now stars as Lizzi in the hit Peacock show ‘Dr.Death’.
We had the amazing honor of speaking with Celestina about ‘Paramount+’s Special Ops: Lioness’, her new character Lizzi, and more!
You currently star in the amazing Peacock series ‘Dr. Death’. What has this experience been like for you?
C: “This was my first experience with an in studio set so I’m excited to see what my home looks like on camera. The experience was amazing and playing Mandy Moore’s daughter was so much fun. She’s super sweet. I also think it’s pretty interesting that the series is based on real stories.”
Do you think you have anything in common with your character ‘Lizzie’?
C: “When I read the character description for Lizzi, I thought “this is great, she’s like me.” She likes fashion and lives in NYC! I absolutely love shopping for clothes and have a quirky sense of style so I really enjoyed Lizzi’s set wardrobe.”
What can viewers expect from Season 2 of the series?
C: “The series has emotions and relationships that happen in real life. You meet a nice person and they become a friend until something happens. I think we’ve all experienced something like this in our lives. It’s just sad when that “something” hurts people.”
Can you share any behind-the-scenes stories you have from working on the show?
C: “I was filming from December to February and everyone made the Holidays so special for me. My set room was decorated by the team and I received the neatest countdown goodies leading up to Christmas and for Valentine’s day! It helped being away from home a little easier. Some of the best days were when Mandy’s cutest baby boys would stop by set. They are such happy boys and I loved their smiles.”
You have worked with some of the biggest names in the industry! Who is your dream co-star?
C: “I would LOVE to work with Jenna Ortega one day! I felt close to her kind of because Edgar played her dad in “Yes Day” and he shared that she was so nice. My 8th birthday was a “YES DAY.” I love that movie so much!”
Besides ‘Dr.Death’, what are some of your current favorite TV shows that you can recommend our readers to watch?
C: “I would say Paramount+’s Special Ops: Lioness because I’M IN IT! =) I play Zoe Saldana and Dave Annable’s younger daughter.”
What type of character would you love to take on next?
C: “I would love to play a funny character or a lead in a series that wins with kindness. I think that’s such a great superhero power, KINDNESS.”
Where can we follow your amazing journey?
C: “You can follow me on… Instagram #CurlyCelly or IMDB #CelestinaHarris.”
