Content Creator Jordi Talks About Her Rising Fame, Songwriting, And Debut Single ‘Hate You’

She’s now a double-threat!

After years of capturing our attention on social media, Jordi has debuted her own music career. Yesterday, she released her first single ‘Hate You’.

We had the amazing honor of talking with Jordi about her dream music collaborations, her favorite Christmas song, and more!

What inspired you to embark on your own music career?

J: “I’ve always had a love for everything artistic and creative. I learned from a very young age that being on stage was one of my favorite things. My love for music really turned into a passion for singing and performing. I went from writing songs in my bedroom when I was 12 to releasing my first song and that’s just so crazy to even think about.”

 Tell us more about your amazing debut single ‘Hate You’. What is its meaning?

J: “I wrote “Hate You” about a heartbreak I went through. The song is about hating how even though someone you love put you through an insane amount of hurt you still can’t hate them, and I think there’s something so frustrating and confusing about this feeling which is why I hope that people can relate and scream it in their cars!”

What was your songwriting process for the single?

J: “I always write down in my notes random lyrics and words that might inspire me later, but one day I was on my way to a session and was like “hate how I don’t hate you at all” that’s it. That’s what I want to write about. So I went in, and made my feelings rhyme. And cried a little on the inside at how my love life is like a really depressing romcom.”

If you could collab with any music artist, who would it be and why?

J: “This is an extremely difficult question for me because there are so many extremely talented people that I’d be honored to work with in the future. To name a few, I love Doja Cat — to have her on a song would be insane. It would also be an absolute dream to work with Justin Bieber or Shawn Mendes. Justin has always been one of my favorite artists!”

You have nearly 10 Million followers on Tik Tok. What has been your reaction to your rising fame?

J: “I can’t even begin to imagine what 10 million people in a room looks like so it’s really hard to wrap my head around it even to this day. I don’t think anyone really expects for it to happen to them so I’m just insanely grateful for every opportunity that I’ve been blessed with. The relationship I have with my fans is something so special.”

What is your favorite Christmas single?

J: “Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year! “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” always puts me in the Christmas spirit. Honestly I love all of the classics!”

Can we expect more music from you in the future?

J: “Absolutely! I’ve been writing like crazy and I’m so excited to share more of what I’ve been working on!“
