We had the amazing honor of talking with Muna about fun facts most don’t know about her and how she got her art name!
What first inspired you to pursue a career in the art industry?
M: “I have loved art since my childhood and I won many awards during my participation in international competitions when I was a child, but when I grew up and finished studying, I had a lot of spare time when I was finished with school so I joined an art center. Here was the shock, my instructor used to say that I was slower than the rest of the group but when I finished my only drawing, which was covered in black and white, he was amazed by it and encouraged me to take a second step, which was painting with colors. At the time I did not like to draw except with a pencil. Since then I have had a passion for the world of art.”
How did you come up with your career-name ‘Artist of Blue’?
M: “Over the past five years, I have felt bored with the abundance of colors in my paintings. I remember one day I was staring at the blue sea and the clear sky, and I felt unparalleled comfort. Subconsciously, I grabbed the brush and colors and tinted the notebook in blue to see how much it affected my feelings, and I felt that this color has a great impact on human emotions. Psychologically, it is a color associated with joy and sadness. We see it everywhere around us, but there is a more significant challenge when I color the page with one color, which is how to create an integrated artistic painting from one color. This is created when the artist challenges himself and makes an integrated world of one color. This is when people started to call me the Artist of Blue.”
Who are your biggest artist inspirations?
M: “I am the biggest source of inspiration for myself. I am distinguished by my thoughts and my paintings. I am influenced by the nature around me, but I am not influenced by an artist. Every artist has his own world. We do not copy each other. Each one of us is a single copy of himself.”
What has been your reaction to having such an amazing reaction to your work?
M: “I feel proud that I have been able to create my own mark in the art world since I began my life and until now. I am a renewed artist in my art and the messages I send to the world through the visual world they see.”
Name something about yourself that most of your followers would not know about you?
M: “I am an expert in the field of information technology and a programmer of applications and websites.”
What advice can you give to young girls wanting to pursue a career in art?
M: “Experimenting, then experimenting, and then experimenting! Through continuous experiments, you will learn the right direction for your art. Art is not thoughts but is built on experiences and expertise in color and different mediums.”
What are some of your biggest goals for your career?
M: “One of my most important goals in the world of art is to imitate the world through my artistic paintings. Art is a language that eyes can read in different dialects and nationalities. Through this simulation, I will create change in this world to be a beautiful world filled with peace and safety.”
