This Canadian artist is a true powerhouse!
With over 100 Million Streams, she is quickly finding her seat in the country music industry. The chart-topping artist recently released an amazing new single entitled “Back Then, Right Now”.
We had the amazing opportunity to talk with Tenille on her favorite music artists, a message to her fans, and more!
Q: When did you first realize that you wanted to pursue a career in music?
T: “I was pretty young when I realized I wanted to pursue music! I started voice lessons when I was 8 years old and I can remember telling my mom that that’s what I want to do for the rest of my life.”
Q: Tell us about your newest single “Back Then Right Now.”
T: “Back Then, Right Now” is all about getting back to the things that we love. It’s been a tough couple of years for everyone and this song is nostalgic and kinda takes you back to simpler times. Right after we wrote it I knew it was the perfect single to follow up with after “Somebody Like That”! Two feel good songs.”
Q: If you could feature on a song with any artist, who would it be and why?
T: “I’m a huge fan of so many artists. If I could work with anyone I would probably say Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini or Keith Urban! They all inspire me in different ways.”
Q: Are you excited for your fans to listen to your upcoming album “Girl To Girl”?
T: “Yes! Since Girl to Girl came out it’s been so much fun to hear the responses from fans. They all love different songs for different reasons and that’s exactly what I wanted to do with this album. I truly feel like there’s something for everyone and I think being super open and honest in my songwriting was what lead to that. I’m so proud of this project.”
Q: What has been your reaction to being an Award-Winning Singer?
T: “It kind of blows my mind to be considered an award-winning singer. I still feel like an unknown artist writing songs in my bedroom, but then I get to step out on stage and hear people singing my songs back to me and it feels really rewarding after years of hard work. Awards are great, especially when the fans have a say.”
Q: What have been your experiences performing on “The Bachelor” like?
T: “Performing on The Bachelor has been so incredible. I owe a lot of my career to that show. They asked me to perform when I was an unsigned artist and they really got behind me. I never ever expected my music to get out to millions of people that way but I’m so grateful that it did. As a fan of the show it was also so much fun to see the behind the scenes and meet the bachelor!”
Q: What are your biggest goals for your career?
T: “My biggest goal is to go on a headlining stadium tour. It’s a big dream, I know, but that would mean that my songwriting reached that many people and that would make me really happy and it would make me feel like I’ve really made a difference by writing honest music and making people feel less alone.”
Q: What are some things you like to do for fun that maybe your fans don’t know about?
T: “My fans already know this but I like to think I’m super crafty and love to alter my own clothes. I also make fun things for my fans! I bedazzle a lot of things and give them away. Even my hobbies revolve around music somehow.”
Q: Is there anything that you would like to say to your fans?
T: “I love you so so much and I’m giving you a giant hug through this page. You guys have been there for me through these last couple of years in a big way and I wouldn’t be where I am without them. They truly are the best and I love our relationship.”
Q: Where can we follow your amazing journey?
T: “I’m all over social media! Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok are where I’m most active! Come follow and interact with me. I can’t wait to meet you!”
