TASH Reacts To Her Rising Fame And Reveals The Inspo Behind Her Single “Rachel & Ross”

Australia’s TASH is quickly becoming a singer to know in the industry. With over 1 Million streams across her relatable hits, our personal favorite is one of her new bops ‘Rachel and Ross’.

We had the amazing honor of talking with Tash about her dream music collabs, “The Luka Song”, and more!

When did you first realize that you wanted to pursue a career in music?

T: “I realized I wanted to perform and write my own music when I was about 11. I’ve always loved
singing but that’s when I started taking it more seriously.”

Tell us more about your amazing new single ‘Rachel and Ross’.

T: “The concept for “Rachel & Ross” was inspired by my love for the TV show “Friends”. I would always put it on if I wanted to escape my life for a bit. The song talks about wanting to watch friends instead of dealing with my problems in the real world – which is something I’ve definitely done a lot in the past.”

This might be a difficult question to ask, but if you had to choose, who is your favorite Friends character and why?

T: “That is a tricky one to answer – It would probably be Rachel. She is super relatable and her
outfits and hairstyles on the show are always amazing.”

Who would you say are your biggest music inspirations?

T: “My biggest musical inspirations are Kaytranada, Noname, SZA, and Billie Eilish.”

What is the toughest part about being a singer/songwriter? What is something you wish you knew when you started out?

T: “I think the hardest part about being an artist for me is keeping up with the demand for content. Artists nowadays have the role of an influencer as well as a musician. I feel totally in my element as a songwriter but like a fish out of water when it comes to social media.”

You have well over 1 Million streams on Spotify! What has been your reaction to your success?

T: “I’m just so grateful for my listeners and that my music is being heard by so many people. It’s an
amazing feeling to see that people enjoy your music as much as you do making it.”

Do you have any upcoming music that you can tease for your fans?

T: “In addition to my new single titled “The Luka Song”, which was inspired by the NBA player Luka Doncic, I will be releasing a new song every month so there’s a lot of new music coming!”
