A chef on the rise to fame!
You might recognize Jennifer as one of the impressive chefs from Season 13 of the hit TV series ‘MasterChef’. After making it all the way to the finale, her supporters are eager to see what she is going to take on next.
We had the amazing honor of talking with Jennifer about her children, Beef Wellington, and more!
We loved watching you on MasterChef! What was that experience like for you?
J: “It was an incredible experience of growth and it has helped propel me towards my dream of opening a pastry shop and restaurant. I also met some dear friends through it that I look forward to supporting as we all pursue different paths.”
The MasterChef: Back to Win season was all about returning contestants looking to win the title. If asked, do you think you would compete in a comeback season?
It was certainly a dream to win the Title of MasterChef, so I would definitely consider. But it depends on where I am in life with the other culinary endeavors I’m pursuing.
What is your go-to recipe that best represents you as a person and as a chef?
J: “It’s hard to pinpoint one recipe. I love creating French-southern fusion while leaning on French techniques and sauces, combined with southern flavors and traditions.”
Is there a specific recipe/popular dish that you haven’t tried making yet that you would love to give a shot?
J: “I want to try to replicate Gordon’s Beef Wellington.”
Have any of your children taken an interest in cooking? Would you encourage their cooking careers?
J: “Yes! My 10-year old daughter wants to be a chef and restaurateur, my nine-year-old son wants to be a chef in our future restaurants, and my six-year-old daughter wants to be a baker. I’m hoping to create a culinary empire that I can one day turn over to them.”
We know that your biggest career goal is to open your very own restaurant! Tell us, what type of cuisine would you serve and where would your flagship location be ideally located?
J: “I want to open an elevated, farm-to-table breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant along with a pastry shop that features fresh breads, pastries, confectioneries, craft coffee, and more.”
When you aren’t cooking up a storm, what are some of your favorite things to do?
J: “I love to decorate so I’m often working on a DIY project or styling a space for the holidays. I also love volunteering for local nonprofits, serving at church, and helping at my kids’ schools.”
Where can we follow your amazing journey?
J: “On my website, jennifermaune.com, and @jennifermaune across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Pinterest.”
