Actress Ashley Ray Keefe Reveals Her Dream Co-Stars And Talks About Her Philanthropy

A triple threat!

From acting to singing to modeling, Ashley Ray Keefe is becoming a name in the entertainment industry. Her current project is the TV series ‘King of Los Angeles’.

We had the amazing honor of talking with Ashley about ‘Love, XO’, attending events, and more!

What inspired you to become an actress?

A: “Acting is definitely one of my passions. From a young age, I was always interested in creating and loved to play pretend. I was lucky to be in an episode of Ghost Adventures when I was just 6 years old. Filming on location at Bonnie Springs Ranch with the crew of the show was incredible and gave me my acting buzz. I started acting classes and auditioning after that experience. Without a doubt, a lot of my inspiration came from the desire to perform and tell a story but also many of the people I watched on screen at home.”

Do you have a fun memory from being on the set of ‘Love, XO’?

A: “Working with the cast and crew of Love XO was very exciting. What I loved most was shedding light onto real teen situations, interacting with those who support the shows, and also the friends (new and old) I made along the way. Throughout the many episodes, I gained a lot of memories and became best friends with castmates like Jaleena Rodriguez. In an episode, we played mean girls (which we are far from in real life) and I got to drive a car that was actually the same as my car! Working with friends is always fun and I’m grateful for the bonds I’ve made. We have worked on other projects since last summer, I think the supporters will enjoy it!”

What actresses or actors would you love to work with in the future?

A: “I have so many actresses and actors I like to watch so this is a tough one. To name a few, probably Drew Barrymore, Selena Gomez, Kate Hudson, Winona Ryder, Jenna Ortega, Adam Sandler, and Joe Keery (the Stranger Things cast is amazing).”

What do you love the most about being in the entertainment industry?

A: “One of my favorite things is getting to step into a character that is similar to me or unlike me. The ability to tell a story is magic in itself. I never get tired of it. I also have been singing since I was young, so I’ve had the chance to learn through experiences. There’s always room to grow and make changes, I love the versatility. Another thing I love is being able to connect with other people who enjoy what I do. Acting has given me great friendships. I’m always rooting for my friends and celebrating their wins. The entertainment industry is abundant to say the least.”

You have been to so many events this year! If you had to choose, which has been your favorite this year, so far?

A: “I love attending events and have connected with so many talented people. It’s exciting to see new projects and get to speak to the creators, crew, and cast! They’ve given me a lot of insight. I think my favorite event of this year would have to be the screening of the “American Born Chinese” series at the Disney Studios Lot. I loved getting to meet the many people involved and try some popular asian dishes. Goldhouse has created a phenomenal platform to amplify stories that may not be familiar to everyone. I’m huge on diversity, representation, and appreciation of cultures, so I was happy to be there. I also loved the show and couldn’t wait to watch more.”

What inspired you to advocate for many charities like Chiari malformation and fundraisers for St Jude?

A: “I’ve always loved helping others and philanthropy is something I want to continue throughout my life. People have poured into me and I plan to do the same for others, no matter the relationship. I advocate for charities like St. Jude because I want to see the medical advancements that we often discuss. I want families to have healthy children and not be worried about bills and care. St. Jude has sponsored events I’ve attended and this has encouraged my advocacy. In terms of Conquer Chiari, my mom was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation and other things when I was very young. It wasn’t the easiest for me to navigate and I felt that the most important thing for me to do was encourage others to learn about it. I sang “Rise Up” by Andra Day and “Warrior” by Demi Lovato at the Conquer Chiari Walk Across America in Las Vegas, which is always incredible to be a part of. It is my hope that I can use my platform to bring up undiscussed topics and enlighten those around me with this information as well. My mom is a fighter and so are all the people in the world battling diseases, they continue to inspire me.”

What details can you share with your fans about your coming projects?

A: “I recently filmed a web series that will be releasing in Europe in the near future! The show is called “King of Los Angeles” and I got to play Julia, the daughter of lead/hockey star Eero Lahti (Mikko Leppilampi). I also just attended the premiere for “Gacy: Terror in Suburbia” directed by Michael Feifer where I played Julie. Both projects were extremely fun to film and I met so many passionate people. I also spent a bit of 2022 filming another series. I don’t have a lot of information that I can share but it’s an interesting teen drama…

Where can we follow your amazing journey?
