A star on the rise!
From singing to acting, double-threat Nile Bullock is someone you need to get to know. He is currently starring in Season 2 of Freeform’s hit series ‘Cruel Summer’.
We had the amazing honor of talking with Nile about his favorite Disney movies, ‘Chang Can Dunk’, and more!
What first inspired you to pursue a career in acting?
N: “In all honesty my parents were a huge Inspiration For me in choosing a career in acting. My parents are both musicians, my dad being a jazz bass player and my mom a singer/songwriter. My 1st love started with dance and singing actually and I started trying professionally in both of them. Off my passion they saw in me to perform and they ended up just encouraging me to try acting, which I honestly don’t feel I showed much interest in at first, after all I was very young when I started. They put me in an open call for an acting management company and I ended up getting signed, now the rest is history.”
Tell us more about your character in Season 2 of ‘Cruel Summer’.
N: “I play the role of the character Jeff in Cruel Summer season 2, he’s an aspiring director/filmmaker and kind of a film geek. He comes off as the quiet and sort of the shy one in the friend group, but he has a long nursed crush on the character Megan.”
Do you think you have anything in common with Jeff?
N: “Absolutely, for one both him and I share a strong passion for films and movies. Some of the trials and tribulations you’ll see Jeff go through in the show are related to things I have experienced in my own life. I think the audience will be able to relate to a lot of the characters and situations you see in this show.”
What can fans expect from Season 2?
N: “Two words drama & intensity. There’s a whole lot of things going on in the season much like you may have seen in the 1st season, plus a whole new cast & storyline. The cast is so talented and I know the audience is going to be on the edge of their seats watching this season.”
You also recently starred in Disney’s ‘Chang Can Dunk’! What was that experience like?
N: “It was an absolute honor being able to be a part of Chang Can Dunk. It had always been a dream of mine to be in a Disney film and for this to have been my 1st one is a blessing. The story was so raw and wholesome, personally I loved how it raised awareness about discrimination & culture in the Asian-American community.”
Now that you are a part of the Disney family, what are some of your favorite Disney shows and movies?
N: “Growing up some of my favorite Disney movies were definitely The Lion King, The Princess & The Frog, High School Musical & and a whole lot of others. Some of my favorite shows were Shake It Up, My Babysitters A Vampire & Kickin It.”
We have to talk about your amazing music career! We personally love ‘Power Moves’. Are you planning to pursue music further?
N: “Absolutely, there is a whole lot of new music coming very soon from me. I’m planning on dropping a 2nd album very soon as well, as well as a lot of music videos. Definitely stay tuned for more music coming from NBTALENTED.”
Where can we follow your amazing journey?
N: “You can follow me on instagram : @nb.talented. You can also find my music on all platforms under NBTALENTED.”
