This music artist is amazing!
Known for her bops ‘fallin for you’ and ‘More’, Brooke Sause is quickly becoming an artist to have on your favorite playlist. She recently released a new single titled ‘How Long’.
We had the amazing honor of talking with Brooke about her main message to her fans, her dream artists to open for, and more!
What inspired you to become a musician?
B: “My inspiration to become a musician was a culmination of things. I have always loved singing, and writing. My sister, who I write all of my music with, also loves singing and writing. We always talked about making music as a hypothetical dream. I guess it was during COVID when my sister and I started writing together that I started to really feel inspired to become a musician.”
Thus far, what’s a favorite memory or something quirky that’s taken place in your career (in-studio, onstage, or elsewhere)?
B: “I think one of my favorite memories was getting on a Spotify editorial playlist. I remember waking up Wednesday morning the week “fallin for you” was released and going on the Spotify for Artist app. Seeing that my song was chosen to be on a playlist was so surreal, I genuinely thought I wasn’t awake for a minute. As much as I believe in myself and my own music, it was nice to have confirmation that other people believe in it too.”
What message do you hope fans get from your music?
B: “I want my fans to feel like they’re part of a family. I work on my music with my sister Breana and share all of my work with my other sisters. My favorite thing about sharing music is knowing other people can connect and relate to you. So, the main message I want to get out of all of this, is that it is okay to be vulnerable with other people and that you will always find someone who can relate to you.”
If you could open a show for any artist, who would it be?
B: “I feel like every singer-songwriter would say this, but my answer is definitely Taylor Swift. I just adore her so much. I’d also love to open for Gracie Abrams or Sabrina Carpenter too!”
What is the story behind your upcoming single, “How Long”?
B: “It started with my sister and our friend Lindsay. We were talking about various situations where we were just straight-up lied to by people who claimed to love us. We were laughing about how awful people can be and eventually came to the point where we were like, I swear they say I love you knowing it’s a lie. So, we wrote a song about the shared experience.”
How do you juggle being in law school and your budding music career?
B: “It takes an insane amount of time and dedication to do both of these career paths. I’m lucky I have my sister who works on music with me and is also in law school. She’s definitely a huge part of how we can make both dreams happen. I also have a really incredibly supportive family- my parents and the rest of my siblings- who are there for me when it is all really overwhelming.”
Can we expect to see more new music from you in the future?
B: “Yes, absolutely. We’re working on making an EP, which should be out in 2023!”
Where can we follow your incredible journey?
B: “You can follow along on TikTok and Instagram!”
