This Nashville artist is incredible!
LGBTQ+ music artist Adam Mac is quickly gaining fame for his amazing songs. He recently released a new single with Jenna DeVries titled ‘Chapel’.
We had the amazing honor of talking with Adam about, his upcoming album, and more!
When did you first realize that you wanted to pursue a career in music?
A: “I can always remember it being the thing I loved most, from really early on. But it wasn’t until after graduating high-school that I really started making it my priority to move to Nashville.”
Tell us more about your amazing song ‘Take Myself Home’.
A: “I wrote it with my now good friends Mary Beth and Josh Sudduth. It was our first time ever writing together which can sometimes be tricky, but the energy in the room was magic that day. It was such a fun session, we all had the same goal in mind, create a country funk song that exudes self love, and I think we did that.”
What has been your favorite song you have released so far, and why?
A: “Every song is special in its own way, but Disco Cowboy will always hold a special place in my heart. It opened so many doors for me, and gave me so many firsts.”
If you could collab with any music artist on a song, who would it be?
A: “Just one?? Haha I have always idolized Chris Stapleton and everything he stands for, how he’s helped mold the last decade of country music. He’s my favorite voice in town and we are manifesting this collab in the future!!!!”
Do you have any advice for artists who are also in the LGBTQ+ community?
A: “Now is our time. We need to be louder than ever and let our love lead the way. There is room for everyone, never dim your light for fear of rejection.”
You have nearly half a Million streams on just Spotify alone! What has been your reaction to your rising fame? Is there anything you want to say to your fans?
A: “Well firstly the fact that any number of people listen to and appreciate my music is absolutely mind blowing. My favorite part about all of this is hearing fans share their stories and how my music has moved them, or opened up a new perspective or conversation on something. That’s what it’s all about.”
Can we expect more music from you this year?
A: “I have a brand new single called Chapel. It’s a duet with my gal pal, Jenna Devries, who’s an incredible lgbtq+ artist. Then my double album Disco Cowboy will be out May 19th!”
Where can we follow your amazing journey?
A: “You can follow me on Spotify and Apple Music to get notified when all the new music drops and then I’m also on all social media platforms as @adammacmusic.”
Stream ‘Chapel’, available now on all music platforms!
