Music Artist Devorah On The Eclectic San Diego Music Scene And New Single ‘Fire Spinner’

With thousands of streams on her music, singer-songwriter Devorah is becoming an artist to know in the music industry. A few days ago she released a new single entitled ‘Fire Spinner’.

We had the amazing honor of talking to Devorah about hearing one of her songs on the radio, whether she is releasing more music soon, and more!

When did you first realize that you wanted to pursue a career in music?

D: “I realized by the age of three that I wanted to pursue a career in music. I stood up on the table in pre-school and belted out broadway songs, and have never looked back.”

Tell us more about your amazing new single ‘Fire Spinner’

D: ‘Fire Spinner’ is about a girl that I really liked. She performs as a fire dancer, and it is very inspiring to me. I channeled the passion and grounding energy of that type of movement into the song. The melody came to me while I was meditating, and I realized I was thinking about that girl. The lyrics quickly came to me, and I wanted to incorporate the idea of grounding and meditation into the song. The lyrics “Letting her love flow through those roots tonight”, is symbolic of the state of mindfulness and what is achieved through meditative practices.”

What has been your favorite music release so far and why?

D: ‘Fire Spinner’ is my favorite music release so far because I believe it represents me as an artist the best out of all of my songs. I want to elevate and heal people through my music, and I feel that is achieved through this fun, upbeat song.”

What is the music scene in San Diego like?

D: “The music scene in San Diego is full of independent artists that are very eclectic. There are a lot of very good, refined artists.”

Earlier this year, your single ‘Not The Same’ was played on the radio! What was this experience like for you?

D: “The experience of having my song played on the radio was exhilarating! It’s been a goal of mine for a very long time, and having it achieved was very satisfying.”
