Influencer Aby Mazz Talks About Moving To LA And Gives Advice To Aspiring Creators

A rising star!

With a rising fanbase and an aesthetic social media, Aby is quickly becoming an incredible influencer. She recently became a member of GoatFamLA, a successful content creator group, alongside fellow influencer Gavin Magnus.

We had the amazing honor of talking with Aby Mazz about her biggest role model, teasing upcoming projects, and more!

What inspired your interest in fashion?

A: “I have always had a big interest in fashion and all things aesthetic. My Mama has always encouraged me my whole life to show up authentically and express myself freely.  This led to some really interesting , sometimes crazy childhood pictures. LOL    I also put on shows as a little girl in my living room and the wardrobe was next level. LOL

Also, when I see celebrities I can instantly envision an outfit in my head that would look amazing for their music video or photo shoot.”

How did you break into the entertainment industry? 

A: “I broke into the entertainment industry by literally hopping on a plane and coming out to LA . I had a dream and knew that part of my destiny was waiting for me in California. It is very important to me to show up as my real authentic self and also have a good work ethic.  The rest seems to be unfolding before my eyes.”

In your time living in Los Angeles, what do you love most about the city and why?

A: “One of the things  I love most about the city of  Los Angeles is that it has amazing opportunities for people in this industry. It is also awesome how each town has completely different vibes.  Above all I LOVE the Palm trees!  They are my favorite!”

What song best describes your life right now? 

A: “The song that could describe my life right now would be “Breathin” by Ariana Grande.”

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned in your journey as an actor and influencer?

A:One of the biggest lessons I have learned on this journey is to keep your inner circle tight and never lose sight of your own personal journey.”

What advice do you have for people to maintain their mental health in the age of social media?

A: One thing that I think is very important for your mental health in the age of social media is to know when to disconnect and never forget that real life comes first.”

What projects are you currently working on?

A: “I have some really exciting things coming up…. Stay tuned!”

Who is your role model, and who are you most grateful to?

A: “My Mama is my role model.  She is so incredibly kind, loving, cool and accepting of all people. I am so beyond grateful that she has always believed in me and given me insane guidance and unconditional love my whole life.”

What advice would you give to aspiring actors and creators?

A: A piece of advice that I would give to anyone trying to make it in this industry would be.  Don’t ever try to be somebody else because you will always be second best. The world is waiting for YOU!”

Ananya also loves writing in all forms, especially poetry. She is a passionate teacher and believes in using education as a tool for equity.
