Sebastian Singh On His Recent Short Film H.E.N.R.I And Festival Film ‘Brother’

This young actor is incredible!

At just 10 years old, Sebastian Singh is quickly making a name for himself in the industry. Recently, he made headlines after starring in ‘Brother’ at the Toronto International Film Festival.

We had the amazing honor of talking with Sebastian about his experience on set, his favorite shows, and more!

When did you first realize that you wanted to pursue a career in acting?

S: “I first realized I wanted to act from a very young age. Truthfully, I have been acting longer than I can remember. My father is an actor and put my twin sister and I into acting when we were little babies.  So far it has been a great experience.”

Tell us about your amazing role in the upcoming Film Festival hit ‘Brother’.

S: I play the young version of “Michael”. Michael is the younger brother, and his brother in the story is named Frances. Michael and Frances do everything together. One day they experience a tragic event that changes their lives for ever. I was so excited to work with Mr. Virgo on this film. Everyone was so nice, and great to work with.”

Do you have a favorite experience from on-set?

S: There is a scene when we are all skipping rocks by a stream. It was my most favorite experience because it didn’t feel like we were filming at all. It just felt like we were hanging out and spending time together. And the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches we had on set were the best PB and J I ever had in my life. It was so good.”

If you could star in a movie with any actor, who would it be and why?

S: “I love Marvel movies. Spiderman and Black Panther are my favorites. I would like to act with Tom Holland because he I think he did a great job as Spiderman. One day I hope to play a superhero in a movie.”

Do you have a current favorite movie/ TV series?

S: “I like Marvel movies, Henry Danger, and Danger Force.”

We love your amazing short film H.E.N.R.I. Was it challenging working both in front of the camera and behind the camera on the project?

S: Thank you. I enjoyed creating H.E.N.R.I with my sister and dad. I wouldn’t call it challenging because I had so much fun. I got to work on both sides. We thought of a story and then we wrote it out. Dad made a first draft and asked Ava and I give feedback. We were able to ask questions and change things around in the script. Afterwards we shot and acted in the film. That part was a lot of fun. The best part for me, was seeing how it all came together. It was cool to see how a small idea that my sister and I had turned into a movie.”

When not working, what are some of your favorite things to do?

S:I like to spend time with my friends playing sports like basketball, soccer and ball hockey. I also enjoy trying to solve rubix cubes. I practice a little every day, and I am really starting to improve. I love playing video games with my friends. I get to talk to them and work together as a team.”

Where can we follow your amazing journey?

S: “Right now you can find me on Instagram at @sebastian_nigel_singh.”
