We had the amazing honor of talking with Blake about his new role, dream character, and more!
How do you relate to your character “Gaby” on Brat TV’s x Webtoon new series “The Four of Them”?
B: “Gaby is that “tell it like it is friend” that everyone needs. Our delivery may be different but we definitely parallel when it comes to shedding light on the facts also Gaby is very aware of who he is & that’s something I can relate to as well.“
What should the viewers expect from the web series “The Four of Them”?
B: “Viewers can expect to go on a journey that’s fun , thought provoking & relatable. The characters & the situations they go through would be familiar to anyone who has taken part in this thing called life . Some moments are touching while others are completely hilarious & light hearted. Viewers can definitely expect to be entertained!“
Tell us about your journey becoming a reputable actor and landing roles such as Amazon Primes “Saturday School” and the short film “Cyverius”.
B: “I’d like to think I’ve always been a reputable actor. Not to sound cocky or out of touch but confident & sure of myself. I’ve put my best foot forward in everything that I’ve ever had the opportunity to work on & that’s something that I will continue to do.“
What is one piece of advice you have for aspiring actors wanting to get into the industry?
B: “I would say learn as much as you can about the entertainment business. I know that sounds like a cliché statement but this is the business of entertainment and once you understand that you can really start molding your career.“
Tell us About your experience working on sat with “Brat TV”.
B: “I literally had the time of my life working with Brat Tv. From the first fitting to the last day of filming I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The crew was amazing , our director Cecilia Albertini was magic & the cast Jack Wright , Emily Brolin, Savanah Moss, Gianna Marie & Leilani Green were not only stars on camera but off camera they are some pretty special people.“
What are some challenges you have faced trying to break into the industry?
B: “I think the biggest challenged I faced was overcoming the idea of “doing it right”. Early on in my career I focused on what I thought casting/ director wanted out of an audition or a scene. While that’s still a factor to a degree; now I focus on my own creative compass and what I feel the scene needs & I combine that with the direction given.“
If you could play one role before the end of your career what would it be and why?
B: “I don’t know if I have a specific role in mind but I’d love to take on a character that I actually get to spend a significant amount of time with.Like In the “Harry Potter” or “Stranger things” series. I think there is something very special about being able to watch a character bloom overtime, all while simultaneously growing as a person. I feel like those types of characters touch the audience in a different way because they are literally growing together.“
How do you feel you have grown as an actor and person since the start of your career?
B: “Early on in my career I was just open to any and every opportunity. Now I’m much more specific. I know exactly who I am & what I bring to the table. I also know what I expect to be on the menu.“
