Fashion Model Darian Dali On Favorite Designer, Natalia Vodianova, And Importance of Social Media

This LA-Based model is one of the best in the industry!

This fashion influencer has made waves in her career, modeling everywhere from New York to Miami to LA Fashion Weeks. She recently appeared in an iconic issue of the popular Glamour magazine.

We had the amazing honor of talking with Darian on what inspired her to be a model, real estate, and more!

What inspired you to be a model?

D: “Ever since I was little,  I have always been passionate about modeling. I would look at the beautiful models in the magazines and it all just seemed so effortless and easy to me, and I knew that I wanted to be just like them.”

Who is your favorite designer and why?

D:Chanel is my favorite brand. Because it’s classic and timeless. While for more people it is important to stay up to date with fashion trends, and some things are currently in style, other designs are “ out of style”, I personally don’t understand many of the new trends. I always think less is more and it’s not about “what is in trend today” it’s about “ what fits you and your own personal style.”

Who is your favorite model and why?

D: “Natalia Vodianova. She is a role model, not only because of her personal style, which is so clean and elegant, but also because of what she represents behind it. She is a perfect example of how a model can do things to make a difference and influence others. Also, her great modeling career didn’t stop her from having a beautiful family. She is a proud mom of 5.”

Tell us about your biggest modeling accomplishment.

D:I started my modeling career at the age of 15 and ever since that have walked in multiple runway shows, including Miami swim week and LA Fashion week. I have also appeared on the covers of multiple European and American magazines. In 2018, I  was the cover girl of the LA and NYC based  “Viva Glam Magazine”And In 2021 I appeared on the cover of Glamour Magazine.

What advice would you give to aspiring models?

D: “Know the importance of social media and post the right content. Don’t be afraid to introduce yourself to people, also keep in mind the importance of following up with the people you meet. In the world filled with double standards, stay your unique self.”

What first inspired you to become an amazing real estate agent?

D: “Besides working in the fashion and entertainment industry, I also have over 2 years of experience working in a high end luxury retail store Bijan on Rodeo Drive. During my journey working at Bijan, I have discovered my love for architecture and for  interior design and have also built a network of high net worth clientele.”

What are you hoping to get out of your real estate career?

D: To be a good real estate agent one needs to be good at working with people, at the end of the day, just like in the entertainment industry, Real estate is people’s business. I am working at Keller Williams firm in Beverly Hills and my number one priority is to bring people together and to provide them with the best customer service.”

What is the Beverly Hills real estate scene like?

D: “So far I’ve been fortunate to be working with great people and everyone at my firm here at Keller’s Williams has been nice and helpful as well. I have learned that there has to be a balance and a clear understanding that this is a serious business and you don’t become successful overnight.  It takes time. I look at it as an independent contractor, a small business owner have to manage and to grow, it’s similar to growing a child when a child is born, you don’t just leave your newborn alone and wait till he/she becomes older, you feed your child, provide for your child and take care of your child, with being a small business owner it is the same.  Real estate can be stressful at times ( perhaps that’s why many agents like to have their meetings at local bars haha). And because it is a competitive business, many agents can get aggressive when meeting a potential buyer or when “fighting” for a listing. I, on the other hand, look at it from a different perspective. I got into Real Estate because I was genuinely interested and passionate about it.  I love to work with buyers as much as I love to work with the sellers, if not more, because it makes me so happy to help my client find their dream home and to be side by side with them through this journey.”

What advice would you give to those who lack self-confidence?

D: “I think one thing you can do is to concentrate on others. Instead of concentrating on yourself and thinking of what others will think of you, concentrate on providing the best service you can for others. In my political history class, we had a debate and each student had to come on stage and speak in front of hundreds of other students, in a debate form. I will never forget the advice our professor gave us, “Instead of thinking of focusing on yourself, focus on your audience, on the message that you are sending to them”. It may be overly simplistic, but it’s true. In Real Estate it is the same, instead of focusing on what you get out of it, focus on providing the best service you possibly can to your client , and the rest will come.

Where can we follow your amazing journey?
