We don’t even know how, but Ronnie keeps out doing herself! Known her amazing voice, the teenage singer might be one of the best singers to come from her state. And since her state is the great New York, that’s saying a lot.
We had the absolute honor to talk to Ronnie about everything, from the growing success of her career, touring, and her favorite song:
Q:What would you say has been your favorite song you have made so far?
R: “Ooh! That’s such an impossible question to answer— every song means so much to me. We just released “WAKE UP, and that was really fun to make. As a solo artist, it was really great to have the opportunity to collaborate with Jorlov. We had a great time recording the song and I’m so grateful for the reaction so far!”
Q:Where did the inspiration for your incredible song “Wake Up” come from?
R: “Jorlov and I had spent a couple days in the studio writing and recording. Right before our session ended, Joe accidentally clicked on the file that’s now the base of the instrumental for WAKE UP. The writing and recording went so smoothly and we knew we had something special.”
Q: You have had over 1 million streams on your music on Spotify so far. What has been your reaction to knowing how much people love your music?
R: “It’s so crazy! I’m really thankful. It’s honestly so hard for me to process the amount of people who have listened to my music. My favorite thing is being able to interact with people individually on social media. Knowing that there are people behind every stream is wild to me, it’s such a dream come true.”
Q: If you could collab with anyone on a single, who would you choose?
R: “I’ve always wanted to work with Jack Antonoff. I think he’s so brilliant, I love his music. I’ve seen him walking around in New York a couple of times and I was definitely a little starstruck.”
Q:What is your favorite thing about living in New York?
R: “It’s a beautiful place to be in. And it has rangeeee. I’m from the suburbs in Upstate, but if you drive ten minutes east you’re in the countryside, and if you drive a bit more you’re by the lakes. Keep driving and you’re in the mountains, and eventually you’ll be in New York City!”
Q: Have you had any moments in your career so far where you were speechless?
R: “For sure! Earlier this year, my song Sad Summer was on The Pulse. It was my first time on US national radio. Being on the radio for the first time is such a landmark moment for every artist. My family and friends were all sitting in the car singing along. It was a very surreal moment.”
Q: Where do you see your career in 5 years? Are there any goals you have?
R: “I hope I’ll have loads more music out by then! And I would love to be touring around the world with that music.”
Q: Where can we follow your amazing journey?
“You can follow me on Instagram @ronniesings! I’m also very obsessed with TikTok, if you’d like to watch me embarrass myself @rronniesings”
