If you haven’t heard the name Kaylee Rose, then you can’t be a real country music fan. The young singer has been on the music scene ever since she was little, and she has only grown from then. Her newest single “My Dog” is already climbing the charts, being on Spotify’s “Wild Country” and “Next from Nashville” charts.
We had the honor to virtually chat with Kaylee on all things about her career, the success of her new single, and CMA!
Q:Which of your songs would you choose to play on repeat every day
K: “The newest one I’ve written always seems to be the song I have on repeat. So that answer changes every week!”
Q: What can you tell us about your upcoming song “My Dog”?
K: “The best way to describe this single is just an upbeat & fun breakup song. When couples get a dog together, there is always the question of who gets to keep it after a breakup so I think a lot of people will be able to relate to this song! It will be available everywhere on February 5.” (You can pre-save it here: https://ps.onerpm.com/MyDog)
Q: What was your reaction to playing the Spotlight Stage at CMA Fest?
“I was so excited about playing the Spotlight Stage. It was such a great experience and I hope to play it again one day.” (You can see a short video from the day here: https://youtu.be/avXm33ee90Q )
Q: Would you ever consider doing a song with another artist? If so, who?
K: “I would absolutely love to do a song with another artist, it would just have to be the right fit and the right song.”
Q: Are you thinking of releasing an album in the future?
K: “I’m sure one day I will, but for now, I enjoy releasing singles every one to two months.”
Q: Has the pandemic affected your career in any way?
K: “Actually no. I decided to not sit back during 2020 and wait for the pandemic to end. I ended up playing about 90 acoustic shows from June to December and released 5 singles.”
Q: Where can we follow your amazing career?
“You can follow me on any of my socials at @iamkayleerose and on Spotify here.”
Kaylee’s “My Dog” is out now! Stream it on Spotify and anywhere you listen to music!
