This triple-threat influencer is ready to start her own music career!
Known on Instagram for being an amazing actress, dancer, and cheerleader, Ava Breeze has quickly gained a large following on her social media. Now, we’re ready for the excitement when her debut single hits our summer playlists.
We had the honor of interviewing Ava on all things working on her debut single, her advocacy side, and balancing school and work:
Q: When did you realize you wanted to start your music career?
A: ” I realized I wanted to start my music career over quarantine. I have had original songs running through my head for years and quarantine gave me the idea to start writing them down. I posted covers of other songs on my Instagram and people gave me a lot of positive feedback, on my voice. I have read about artists going about it independently and wanted to try, I decided it was time to pursue what I love.”
Q: Tell us about your upcoming single “Girls Of Summer”?
A: “I wrote girls of summer during the height of covid when I didn’t know if I would ever be able to have more fun memories with my friends again, mask free, and carefree. I wanted the song to have a feeling of living the moments of summer, either in the present or in your mind through memories… It is a very alternative/indie song featuring a harp and keyboards with no beat! It started as a pop song in my head, but I realized that this song didn’t fit with my true authentic melancholy reality while writing it, so I went back and reworked it, as it should have been written.”
Q: How do you balance working in the industry, and studying in school?
A: “Honestly, at this point I don’t know how I do it (insert laugh emoji here lol) I am an honors student and I take my grades very seriously. I try to use my time productively, so after school I get ready for cheer, eat, go to cheer, do homework, and then work on music/and acting (depending) before I take a shower and then go to sleep. I am definitely a busy person, but in the end it’s worth it.”
Q: Tell us about your amazing campaign, “Ava’s Advocacy Army”.
A: “I don’t know if everyone reading knows this about me but I have a special needs sister. Her name is Lyra and she is 11 years old this year. She is my best friend and I don’t know who I would be without her. She has a rare disease called DHX30, only 30 people known globally have this genetic disorder. For Lyra it causes her to be unable to walk, talk, have total mobility on her hands, and chew solid foods.
As a young person I would get bullied for having a sister who was different. I knew it wasn’t people being intentionally mean, they were just ignorant on this matter so I decided to start Ava’s Advocacy Army. I started it to a knowledge people on how to treat and play with special needs children and show how words people think are harmless carry weight to those the words affect. Knowledge is power and I love to advocate for people like my sister who are angels on earth.”
Q: If you could feature on a song with any artist, who would it be and why?
A: “I would probably choose Billie Eilish because our music definitely fits in the same category and we are both young artists.”
Q: Are you excited for your fans to see your upcoming studio album?
A: “I don’t think it is possible for someone to be more excited than I am about this album. I have worked so hard on the writing and a few songs are still in the recording process… I just hope people enjoy it as much as I do.”
Q: What has been your favorite moment in your career so far?
A: “My favorite moment in my career has been filming my music video. My actual friends were the “girls of summer” and it was us making more fun memories, just being filmed. It made everything I was doing seem just like authentic fun, not a working shoot. I had a finished song, and now all of the pieces came together and I was making a music video. It didn’t feel possible! My song was going to be a video!!!!“
Q: What are your biggest goals for your career?
A: “My biggest goal is to have a successful album that people want to listen to on repeat. I want to have people love my music and want to see me preform live.”
Q: When not working on music or modeling, what is your favorite thing to do?
A: “When I am not doing anything industry related I am most likely on the cheer mat. I am a competitive cheerleader on a level 3 team this year. I always want to gain more tumbling skills and work on elite stunting. I love cheer so much and I am excited that I made my High School varsity and competition team in addition to cheering for Next Level Training Cheer Gym.
Q: Where can we follow your amazing journey?
A: “You can follow me on Instagram @avabreeze_ and on tik tok @avabreeze10”
