Gabby’s Dollhouse Breakout Star Celestina Harris Talks About Making Her Season 14 Debut

Celestina Harris has joined Gabby’s Dollhouse as Doozie, her exciting and imaginative little sister. And, without giving too much away, Season 14 of the fan-favorite Netflix series is not one you want to miss!

We had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Celestina about her voice acting background, all things Doozie, and more!

Congratulations on joining Gabby’s Dollhouse as Doozie! What was your reaction when you found out you’d landed the role? 

CH: “Happy tears! I was so thrilled to be a part of the Gabby Universe that I was literally running around my living room because I couldn’t contain all the emotions I was feeling at once! It was such a surreal and unforgettable moment, and I’m so grateful to be a part of this amazing world!”

Doozie loves dogs just as much as Gabby loves cats. Do you have a soft spot for dogs in real life too?

CH: “Absolutely! I’ve always had a huge soft spot for dogs. I don’t have one of my own, but almost everyone I know has a dog, so I’m constantly getting my share of cuddles, belly rubs, and puppy time. I never feel like I’m missing out because I get to love everyone else’s dogs!”

What can fans expect from Doozie’s personality and the sibling fun she brings to the show?

CH: “Doozie is bringing bubbly energy, new adventures, and a whole new dynamic to the Dollhouse. I’m a younger sibling, so I know what it’s like to see the world a little differently, which can lead to funny, unexpected, and sometimes chaotic moments… just like Doozie! There will be lots of giggles along the way. I think Doozie is going to bring so much fun to the Dollhouse!”

You’ve done a lot of voiceover work, like Young Jedi Adventures and Charlotte’s Web. What was your experience doing voiceovers and on-screen acting in this hybrid show?

CH: “The voiceover experience felt a lot like on-screen acting for me because I still got to use so much expression and emotion. Seeing myself as a character was absolutely surreal because she has my hair color, my curls, and even my freckles! When I saw Doozie for the first time, I literally gasped and just stared at her for a few minutes because I couldn’t believe how much she looked like me. It was such a cool and unforgettable moment!”

5. You balance acting with honor roll grades, volleyball, and dance! How do you manage to fit it all in?

CH: “My parents have always made sure that, even with my busy schedule, I still get to have a normal childhood. When I’m not away working, I make time to hang out with my friends every week because having a happy and fun childhood has always been really important. The administration and teachers at my school are a huge part of my success because they are so supportive and flexible when it comes to working with my parents and set teachers to make sure I never fall behind. I feel truly blessed to be able to do what I love while still getting to live a normal life.”

What message would you want to share with fans who are excited to meet Doozie for the first time?

CH: “Doozie is so excited to meet you too! Make sure you stay tuned for the most puppy-riffic episodes in Season 14!! Gabby and Doozie can’t wait to go on new adventures with you!”
