Known for her amazing weddings!
This isn’t the first time you’ve heard of Trista Croce. She, and her wedding company BTS Event Management, has been going viral on social media.
We had the amazing honor of talking with Trista about her favorite wedding, her hobbies, and more!
When you first started wedding planning did you know that this was going to be your full-time job? Was it something you were passionate about when you first started?
C: “When I first started event planning, I had NO idea this would be my full-time job and lifetime career. I wasn’t passionate about it when I started, I was simply trying to fulfill a required internship that I needed to complete for my college degree but I quickly grew to love it.”
What has been the most important thing your career has taught you?
C: “This career has humbled the heck out of me. I have learned that I will always have so much to learn. Every wedding and event are so different that you never truly get to master this profession, you are always learning and evolving. I have also learned that people typically don’t always communicate very clearly. When we have a bride that asks for a red wedding, that color “red” can quite possibly mean about 12 different shades of red that are all so different. It’s important to ask questions, show pictures and overly communicate because 9 times out of 10, you will not be on the same page unless you really take the time to learn what you are doing.”
When first planning a wedding, what is your routine? What are some of the things you absolutely need or have to have when planning?
C: “My routine is to create a plan for the overall planning period of time. I map out what will happen and when and then I stay on track with that calendar. Budget is one of the first things we always tackle in this process because it determines so much of what will go on for the entire wedding planning process.”
What has been your favorite wedding to plan and why?
C: “My favorite wedding is almost always the most recent wedding I’ve done. It’s always the one with the newest, freshest ideas and the one where it’s gotten just a smidge better than the last one. I’ve done this for over a decade and although I am great at what I do, I can honestly say I get better and better every time I do it!“
What are some tips you can give out to couples that are in the process of planning a wedding?
C: “Be clear on your budget, don’t go above your means and don’t try to hide a larger budget with the hopes of getting things for less money. Your vendors need clear and direct understanding to their perimeters for your wedding. I would also say do not stress, but that is almost impossible to do. The intricacy of planning can be a lot at times, on top of lots of family opinions and friend situations that can pull them in a million different directions. It gets to be a lot but I can promise it is worth every second of it.”
What are some of your career goals for the next 5 years?
C: “I feel like the Kardashians are currently doing the most epic over the top events so in the next 5 years, I would love to get my hands on their events. I would like to continue on the path we are traveling, working with luxury, high end clientele in all parts of the world. I would also like to have a beauty department for all services brides need, leading up to their wedding like skincare, tanning, lashes, and make-up. These are all things our brides always ask us about so I’d love to be able to offer these services the way I think they should be done so they are tailored towards getting ready for one of the biggest days of their lives!”
Outside of being a wedding planner, do you have any other hobbies?
C: “I enjoy working out (great stress reliever), I love to cook (no baking, just cooking), but in all honesty, I am 100% thoroughly obsessed with weddings so even if I have free time, I’m studying new bridal gown designers, and looking at what other wedding designers are doing in other parts of the world or trying to figure out cool new invitation styles. I really am very captivated by this industry.”
Where can we follow your amazing journey?
C: “Instagram @BTSeventmanagement @luxurybyBTS or my personal account @Trista.Natashia I am also all over TikTok @btseventmanagement.“
