This influencer is a girl of many trades!
From insane makeup videos, to acting roles, to new music, Sasha Anne can, in fact, do it all. She recently made her feature film debut as ‘Sarah’ in the incredible horror film ‘Reed’s Point”.
We had the amazing honor of talking with Sasha on the beginning of her makeup journey, her debut single, and more!
When did you first realize that you wanted to pursue a career in acting?
S: “Right after I graduated FIT in the middle of the worst part of the covid pandemic, jobs in the makeup industry were non existent. I couldn’t even get an internship. Nothing was happening. My manager, Sandy Lo, knew Suzanne DeLaurentiis and told her that I wanted to act and that I sing too. So Suzanne came up with this amazing character for me as my debut film!
I always loved to perform. Since I’m 2. Dancing, singing, acting, anything in front of a camera. I grabbed the opportunity. And I am living my dream.”
Tell us about your amazing new role as ‘Sarah’ in ‘Reed’s Point’.
S: “Sarah Franklin, is a student college reporter writing for the college newspaper and her project is investigating the crash and what happened to her cousin, Kelsey.”
Do you think you have anything in common with ‘Sarah’?
S: “We are both very determined to get to the bottom of things. We don’t take no for an answer. And neither of us are very athletic.”
You are also known for your amazing makeup skills! What started your passion?
S: “When I was 13 I started a YouTube channel doing basic makeup tutorials. I became a professional makeup artist and my friends and family asked me to do their makeup and then I got some bookings. I was inspired by youtuber, Jaclyn Hill and Kandee Johnson. I still am. I then wanted to make videos on makeup and transformations. In 2017 I was a finalist in the Shorty Awards for best in beauty. I did a modern day Cinderella makeup look. Then in 2018 I won the audience honor award in best in beauty for my Wonder Woman makeup transformation. My campaign was called Empowering Young Women and that really stood out. Now I’m a professional, certified makeup artist.”
What was your reaction to receiving the incredible ‘Shorty Award’?
S: “I was actually in the middle of film class in high school when I got the email. I did a double take, I screamed and ran through the halls. The administration congratulated me and I was still in disbelief. It’s amazing to know that my voice was heard through my “empowering young women” campaign and that my young followers have someone to look up to.”
You are a total triple-threat for also being an amazing singer. Tell us about your debut single “Catch Me I’m Falling”.
S: “Thank you so much! I had the opportunity to re record the top 80s hit song by original singer Jade Starling. It’s an honor and I’m so thankful that both my producer, Suzanne and Jade believed in me and saw my talent. I worked so hard with them to perfect the song in the studio and worked hard rehearsing before as well. Can’t thank them enough for helping me make this dream of mine come true. It’s already over 100k spotify streams. And the vinyl record is available now too.”
Can we expect more music from you in the future?
S: “Absolutely! Stay tuned for my originals and a possible new remake of a hit song in the future. 8. Where can we follow your amazing journey? You can follow me on Instagram @simplysashaanne tiktok @sashaanne YouTube Sasha Anne and my website www.SashaAnne.com.”
