“Secrets Of Sulphur Springs” Madeleine McGraw On Starring Role, Olivia Rodrigo, And Next Project

This young actress is already ahead of the game!

You may have seen/heard Madeleine in some of your favorite movies, including ‘Bonny’ in the incredible Toy Story franchise and her role in Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp”. Now, she is about to start as “Zoey Campbell” in Disney’s high-anticipated season two of “Secrets of Sulphur Springs”.

We had the amazing honor of talking with Madeleine on her favorite Disney channel TV show, her love of modeling, and more!

Q:  When did you first realize you wanted to be an actress?

M: “I’m not sure if it was the first time I realized I wanted to be an actress, but I was 4 and I was modeling for Ralph Lauren in wine country. I thought it was the most amazing experience ever. They were driving me around in a golf cart, making sure I was warm and at lunch time there were mounds of shrimp. It seriously was heaven.  Whatever I was doing, I knew I wanted to do it forever.”

Q:  Tell us about your amazing role as ‘Zoey’ on Disney’s “Secrets of Sulphur Springs”.

M: “I love Zoey so much. Zoey is Griffin’s younger sister and a fraternal twin to Wyatt. Zoey loves ghost hunting and trying to solve mysteries with Wyatt. She is pretty quick witted, a little sassy and is always up for a new adventure.”

Q: Since you are in the Disney family, do you have an all-time favorite Disney show?

M: “My all time favorite Disney show…hmmm. I have been pretty obsessed with Good Luck Charlie. I love the family dynamic and the mom reminds me of my mom. Hahaha!! I love all the characters so much and I can seriously watch this show over and over. Actually I do!!”

Q: If you could choose, what has been your favorite movie/tv show to work on?

M: “Honestly, it’s really hard to pick a favorite because they all have special meanings to me. But recently I worked  on  a Blumhouse film called The Black Phone. It was such a fulfilling experience as an actress. My director Scott Derrickson really trusted me and let me explore my character. It was the first time I really felt like I was able to act on my instincts and my point of view was valued. It was truly a magical experience for me.”

Q: You have worked with so many incredible celebrities; Have you ever been starstruck?

M: “I don’t really get Star Struck, but I remember being at my Welcome to the Disney family talent 101 meeting and after lunch we got to sit down and ask some Disney Stars what it’s like being on a Disney show, etc. and in walks Olivia Rodrigo. I literally lost my words, my knees went weak and I turned beat red. I have been such a fan, even back from her Bizaardvark days. It was the most star struck I think have ever been.”

Q: Have you enjoyed your experiences modeling so far?

M: “I love to model. It doesn’t happen that much anymore because I am usually working on a show or a movie. But hopefully in the future I can be the face of brand or something. I love beautiful clothes and I am just starting to experiment with makeup on my own.”

Q: What advice do you want to give to young actresses in the entertainment industry?

M: “Something my parents have always told me, Is to run my own race. It’s fine to look up to someone as long as you don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Always do the work. When I audition I treat the audition like I already got the role . I put my heart and soul into it. That way, even if I don’t  get it, I know I put my best work out there. I also think understanding “no” is just a part of the business helps to soften the blow a bit. I would also say if this is truly your passion, have patience. All good things take time.”

Q: Where can we follow your amazing journey?

M: “I am mostly on Instagram @madeleinemcgraw,Twitter @maddygmcgraw, And if My mom ever lets me post on TikTok, it’s @madeleinegracemcgraw.”
