Je’Kayla Crawford– Founder and Director– Je’Kayla has been a journalist for years and decided to start a publication of her own, New Scene Magazine, back in October 2020. When not helping her team and working on their print issues, you can find her watching a movie on Netflix or baking using a viral TikTok recipe.
Loryn Maul- Entertainment/Celebrity Reporter– Is an entertainment reporter at New Scene, where she writes about exclusive interviews. She prides herself on staying on top of the entertainment trends. She is also an experienced publicist in the B2B SaaS space.
Manuela Sanchez– Entertainment/Red Carpet Reporter– Manuela is an entertainment host and mental health advocate for the Latino community. She loves pop culture, hikes and spending time with family and friends. She hopes to have her own late-night talk show one day and host the Oscars!
Trina Hannah- Entertainment Editor/Graphic Designer– Trina is currently studying Graphic Design at Siena Heights University, she is into all things digital media such as video editing, photography and more! She loves getting to express herself through her work and hopes that it can make people smile as well as inspire them to be creative.
Alessia Shaw- Movie/Entertainment Editor– Alessia is a rising Junior in high school located in Southern California! She is an actress, writer and avid mental health advocate. Alessia loves writing in many forms, especially spoken word poetry. As her resume continues to grow, so does her love for the arts. She hopes to continue her acting path and attend a performing arts college in the near future.
Fiona Li- Movies/TV Show Editor– Fiona is a writer from Toronto, Canada, making a name for herself in the world of the Writing. Fiona has also been a pianist for a decade. Her keen interest lies in crafting stories about the latest happenings in Hollywood, alongside her love for watching movies and devouring books.
Ananya Vinay– Movie/Entertainment Reporter- Ananya Vinay is a rising high school senior from Fresno, California. She is a budding scientist who enjoys exploring the whys of the world. Ananya also loves writing in all forms, especially poetry. When she’s not writing, you can find her with her nose in a book, inventing stories, or sometimes arguing with her younger brother. Ananya won the Scripps National Spelling Bee in 2017. She is the author of a poetry collection, Dewdrops on the Mind, and has work published or forthcoming in the Ice Lolly Review, Apprentice Writer, and Teen Ink. She is a passionate teacher and believes in using education as a tool for equity.
Janesha ‘Hershee Love’ Jones– Entertainment/Celebrity Reporter- Janesha Jones is a pop culture and celebrity news freelance writer who is not only interviewed a few celebrities but has also worked in radio. She enjoys interviewing people to learn their stories and help their fans and listeners learn about them as well.
Nora Anzer– NYC Entertainment Reporter– Nora Anzer is an entertainment editor and reporter who regularly attends exclusive events in NYC and conducts interviews with celebrities. She is currently studying Marketing Management and enjoys learning about her guest’s journeys while amplifying their stories.
Solstice Raeanne–Music/Mental Health Editor– Solstice Raeanne is a mental health advocate. As someone who has seen the way mental health is treated in our society they’ve wanted to make a change, and a difference. If they aren’t working, you can find Solstice on the phone scrolling through pinterest, or writing new articles and conducting interviews.
Bryana Medina– Celebrity/Entertainment Reporter- Bryana Medina recently graduated from California State University Dominguez Hills where she got her bachelor’s degree in Journalism. As a journalist, she collected skills like public speaking, broadcasting, and mass media. She has planned on making a difference in the media industry by using her voice and expertise.
Kylie Montigney-Music/Entertainment Editor– Kylie has been a Host/Producer for over a year with her Podcast Talk of Fame at only 14 years old. Kylie enjoys talking to all her guests that are in the Entertainment industry and learn more about their journey to where there are today and to inspire young girls & woman to feel represented in the media.
Katie Pierce- Beauty/Lifestyle Editor– Katie Pierce is a teacher-slash-writer who loves telling stories to an audience, whether it’s bored adults in front of a computer screen or a bunch of hyperactive 4-year-olds. Writing keeps her sane (most of the time) and allows her to enjoy some quiet time in the evening before she walks into a room of screaming kids (all of whom she loves dearly) the next morning.
Chloe Fribourg– Music Editor – Chloe is a rising senior in high school, where she is the Editor-in-Chief of the yearbook. Aside from journalism, Chloe is a lover of music, playing the bass, guitar, and piano in her free time. She also speaks Spanish and is learning French and Italian; she dreams of studying Linguistics in college.
