We had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Mikey about his rising success, advice for aspiring rappers, and more!

When did you first get started rapping, and when did you realize that you could pursue it as a career?

M: “I first got started rapping when I was in middle school and high school, but I took it seriously as
a career right after graduation because I knew that’s what I wanted to do. That was my passion
and it was just something that came easy to me.”

Congratulations on your LP Art of War. Can you walk us through its name and how you put the project together?

M: “Thank you! I came up with the name because it’s about the battle within, you know? It’s the art of the battle. It’s a war with the opposition, myself, and the world that I’m in.”

If you had to choose, what is your personal favorite track from the LP and why?

M: “My personal favorite track will probably have to be “Perfect” or “Get Out of My Head,” it’s between those 2. It’s hard for me to pick, but those are my favorites.”

From Trippie Redd to Lil Wudy, you’ve had some cool collabs. Is there anyone you’d like to work with next?

M: “I would love to work with Future, Justin Bieber, Pink Pantheress TEMS, and Chris Brown. I also love Rob 49 and Loe Shimmy’s music!”

You have over 1 Million streams on just Shopify alone! What has been your reaction to your success?

M: “Honestly, I just stay humble and make sure I keep working. If I can get one million, I can get ten
million, that’s how I look at it.”

What advice would you give to fans of yours who want to join the rap game?

M: “Go hard, never stop, and always believe in yourself. You must make mistakes to learn.”
