She’s a total standout in this show!
Actress Alixandra Fuchs has been stealing the show as Terri Bainbridge in ‘It: Welcome to Derry’, which is quite-literally shaping up to be the best show of the year.
We had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Alixandra about working alongside husband Jason Fuhs, traveling through Italy, and more!
Congratulations on your role in ‘IT: Welcome To Derry’! What was the experience like filming the series?
A: “Thank you!! For me, two things really stand out. First, it’s pretty unique to watch an entire series be constructed from the ground up and then step into the world you’ve seen created from scratch, with my husband, Jason, co-creating the show. I think the other pretty remarkable thing is just the scale. This is a BIG show. It’s immersive. The sets, the costumes, the practical effects work – it’s unlike anything I’ve been a part of.”
Putting yourself in the shoes of the characters, how do you think you would do if you lived in Derry? Would you try to leave or stay to figure out the truth?
A: “That is a very easy question- BYE DERRY! But that’s the thing, that’s what makes it so interesting, both for my character, but also for everyone else’s – we all stay! There is, for so many of the grown ups like Terri in this town, a sort of fog that sits over all of us. We’re all so numb to the really dark stuff happening around us, under our noses and that creates an environment of just constant dread for our lead kids. Lily, my daughter, knows she can’t count on me to come to the rescue. So where does that leave her? How does she grapple with that? That’s a big part of the fun and the drama of the show.”
While you are filming, your husband is producing! What was it like working with him like this for the first time?
A: “It was absolutely amazing. First of all, the days are LONG when you’re working in film and TV. So to be able to have your best friend around at all times to hang out with in between scenes is pretty special. Secondly, given that he created my character, being able to go to him with questions about a scene or a moment was incredibly helpful. It was just so fun!”

In true power-couple fashion, you and your husband are co-CEOs of FiveTen Productions! What is the legacy you want to leave behind and be known for in terms of the kind of projects you take on?
A: “Well, it’s hard to think about legacy with a company we founded this year, but I can definitely speak to the kinds of projects we are attracted to. We want to make big, commercial, bold, hopeful entertainment. My husband and I have similar taste in film and TV, and we always talk about how much we want to capture the feeling both of us had in those formative moments of our lives as viewers, as audience members. And, frankly, we want to find stuff that is noisy. There is so much “content”, so much stuff competing for eyeballs, how do we find material that can cut through that and be a part of a larger conversation. It’s pretty cool to see the way “Derry”, even in a few weeks, has sort of become that zeitgeist show of the moment that everyone is talking about – debating, analyzing. How do we find those other projects that cut through in the same way – that’s our goal. And we have a small slate of things, both in film and TV – mostly things we have yet to announce, but will soon – that we hope can resonate with audiences in the same way as this show so clearly has.”
We have to say, your travel photos are on our 2026 mood board. Is there an international destination in particular that has been your favorite trip?
A: “I got the travel bug early. My dad is a producer and so we were always going all over the world as a family, seeing new places depending on where he was shooting. It’s hard to pick one spot, but if I had to? Derry, Maine. No, I think Italy – generally – is our favorite because it’s so varied. It’s such an amazing country and depending on what region, what city, it’s such a different experience. I’m a history buff: you can’t do better than Rome. You want the countryside and something that feels more peaceful, there are places in Umbria, in Tuscany that just feel like total oases from the universe. Then you have the magical seaside places like the Amalfi Coast. And no matter where you go, the food and the wine are spectacular. So, yes, it’s hard to beat Italy as a travel destination.”
Looking ahead, what’s next for Alixandra Fuchs? Anything you can tease?
A: “The back half of this year and beginning of next are really about focusing on building out FiveTen. We have such big aspirations for this company so I foresee that I will be very busy the next months with that. If some acting roles come my way, that’s great, too!”
