A multi-talented star!
From acting to writing to so much more, Grace Patterson has quickly made a name for herself. She now also wears the title of successful author after releasing her amazing memoir, which you can get your hands on right now.
We had the pleasure of speaking with Grace about her upcoming Poetry book, her production company with her husband, and more!
When did you first realize that you wanted to pursue a career in acting?
G: “When I was nine years old I became obsessed with acting and filmmaking. I knew immediately
that it was what I had to do.”
This might be hard to pick, but what has been your favorite acting role you’ve had thus far?
G: “I’ve been really lucky to be a part of so many fun projects but my favorite role was in Love’s Fast
Lane! That was my very first Rom Com and I had the time of my life.”
You’ve starred in quite a few horror movies! Were you a fan of horror growing up? Do you have an all-time favorite Thriller film?
G: “Yes! I love horror. Growing up my dad and I watched horror movies- it was our thing! I love the Shining. That’s my all time favorite horror movie but I am always down to watch a horror movie. I love acting in them as well. I have a really loud scream.”
What has been the most validating moment of your acting career thus far?
G: “It was a very hard book to write. I had to revisit many of the lowest moments of my life to write this book but I am very proud of how it turned out. It is a coming of age story that deals with heavy topics such as eating disorders, body image, and self-esteem in young women. I have received so many positive reviews which have meant the world to me. When I wrote it-my only goal was that it would touch at least one girl and so far it has touched many! Success!”

What is the best piece of advice you can give to young girls who are trying to find their authentic selves?
G: “Don’t take others’ opinions to heart. If you listen to everyone else you will never be able to hear
your own voice.”
We saw you tease an upcoming poetry book! Can you tease what your fans can expect from it?
G: “Yes! My new book is called Heart On Her Sleeve and will be out at the end of this year. This is my most raw and vulnerable poetry book yet! I’ve hired a great artist as well so everything about this book is something I am very proud of. I am so excited to share it!”
Do you find writing to be a therapeutic experience for you? Has it always been that way?
G: “Yes! Writing is the only way I really know how to communicate. I am actually a pretty horrible communicator in real life so writing is the best way I can express myself.”
We love that you and your husband have a production company (couple goals!). Do you see yourself taking a backseat from being in front of the screen, or can we expect you to work from both in front and behind the camera?
G: “Thank you!! I am very passionate about all aspects of film so I am definitely open to just producing some projects and not acting in them. I would like to tell as many stories as I can! But for now I am doing both! :).”
Where can we follow your amazing journey?
G: “Instagram: Gracevictoriapatterson.”
