An actor turned entrepreneur!
We all know and love Frankie for his breakout role in ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’, and now he is finally giving his fans a chance to match his incredible aesthetic, starting with his nail company Freeland.
We had the amazing honor of speaking with Frankie about being an LGBTQ+ icon, his upcoming acting role, and more!
Congratulations on Freeland! We are already obsessed. What has the process of launching a nail polish company been like?
F: “It’s been awesome! I’ve been working on this for over a year now, so to have it out in the world as a product people can purchase is so exciting!”
We know that these are all of your babies, but what is your number #1 favorite color from the launch?
F: “I obviously have a real connection with the color pink! It’s the main color for the overall branding. However, I really do have to say, like a true mother, they’re all my favorite!”
We hope that this is just the start of your takeover of the fashion world! Are there any other goals in the fashion field that you are hoping to accomplish?
F: “I’m starting small with nail polish – but the short answer to this is yes! I’m not exactly sure what the next steps for Freeland outside of nail polish are, but trust that there are many ideas brewing.”
How does it feel to be one of the modern-day LGBTQ+ icons for this generation to look up to? Who were your inspirations growing up?
F: “Oh, wow. It feels amazing. If what I’m doing can help others feel seen and validated in their own skin, I love that. My inspirations growing up have always been people who were living their life in the most authentic way possible.”
We have to talk about ‘Chad Powers’. Congratulations! Is there anything you can tease about the series and what fans can expect?
F: “Ohhh, thank you! It’s still very early on in the process, but what I can share is that it’s going to be a really funny show.”
Where can we follow your amazing journey?
F: “I’m on Instagram @frankiearodriguez and you can follow the Freeland journey on IG @lovefreelandco and shop the store a www.lovefreeland.com.”
