Rising Pop Artist Thomas Day Reveals His Dream Music Collab And His Ultimate Career Goal

An icon in the making!

Only a few years into his music career, singer-songwriter Thomas Day is already becoming a name to know in mainstream music. He recently released an album titled ‘Love Me For Another Day’. And spoiler alert: it’s a complete bop!

We had the amazing honor of talking with Thomas about his songwriting process, going viral, and more!

Thomas, you have been making music for quite some time now. What inspired you to start writing songs in the first place?

T: “I’ve been involved with music from a young age and grew up with parents who introduced me to so much music. I’ve always loved playing music, but I started songwriting as a way to deal with the things I had been going through. Songwriting helped me to understand those things.”

Your single “Gravity” is one of our personal favorites. It has a different feel than some of your recent releases, so tell us what made you choose to write it?

T: “Gravity” is the first real love song I’ve ever written. I’ve met someone really special and we are still together now. It’s a new feeling I had never truly experienced before.”

What is your songwriting process usually like?

T: “My songwriting process is usually just me at the piano and singing whatever comes to mind. It’s usually the sad things that tend to come out though!”

Who is one artist you would love to collaborate with?

T: “FINNEAS.”

What is it like to go viral on Tik-Tok? Has viral fame had an effect on your day-to-day life?

T: “It hasn’t really had an effect on my day-to-day life, but it has allowed me to make my dreams of being an artist a reality.”

What is one goal you have for yourself this year, career wise or personal wise?

T: “I would love to have a song chart somewhere!”

What is one piece of advice you would have for someone who wants to create music or do something they love?

T: “Be as authentic to yourself as you can possibly be.”
