A star in the making!
From acting to singing to modeling, Chelsea Otto Ferary is a triple threat that you need to know. She recently released a new single titled ‘Watch Me Rise’. And it’s amazing!
We had the amazing honor of talking with Chelsea about philanthropy, her upcoming debut EP, and more!
Being a triple-threat, which one is your favorite to do, acting, singing, dancing, or modeling?
C: “This is a difficult question because I love acting, singing, dancing and modeling all in different ways, but if I had to choose, my favorite would have to be acting.”
What is a song you currently have on repeat and a concert you’d love to go to in the future?
C: “A song that I currently have on repeat is “Dark Red” by Steve Lacy. It gives such unique fall vibes, and it’s a super catchy tune, I love it! A concert that I would absolutely love to go to in the future is a Zach Templar concert, he is one of my favorite musical inspirations and to hear his music live would be such an iconic moment.”
What do you enjoy most about being an entrepreneur?
C: “What I enjoy the most about being an entrepreneur is giving back. You can always grow your business through advertising, marketing plans, and substantial products that appeal to the public, but all of this means nothing if your heart and purpose for your business is not coming from the right place. I created my business Chelsea’s Slimes with the main goal to raise money for my charity Operation Smile, and to help people of all ages release stress, anxiety, and feel calmer, slime is something that can be used just for fun, and it can help many with their everyday life. The purpose of my business is to bring light to others in their own lives through creating something that I also enjoy!”
What inspired you to advocate for many charities like Asian American Pacific Islanders, and Home for the Aging?
C: “What inspired me to advocate for the Asian American Pacific Islanders is the appreciation that I have for their culture. I think it’s very important to recognize and honor those who have made such a difference in the world historically. Geneva Presbyterian Church is one of the Asian American Pacific Islander organizations that I have advocated for through fundraising. In 2022 there was a tragic shooting where many Pacific Islanders had lost their lives. This was a targeted crime and I wanted to be able to give back to them to show them that their lives matter and that they can rise above the tribulations. I was inspired to advocate for The Jewish Home for the Aging because I would like to honor their cultural beliefs and appreciate those who are wiser who have also spent more time experiencing the world.
You have already been able to work with some impressive names so far in your career. Is there anyone you would love to work with someday?
C: “I would definitely want to work with the R&B artist SZA, and the Indie/Alternative artist Zach Templar.”
Tell us about your newest single.
C: “My newest single “Watch Me Rise” is about rising from setbacks to welcoming in success. It’s a storyline that I hope many of my listeners can relate to and feel inspired from. The purpose of my song is to show my fans that they should never give up on their dreams and if they continue to stay determined, they will be so excited to see their dreams revealed. I cannot wait for everyone to hear my song. I hope that it touches someone’s heart out there, like it does for me.”
Can fans expect new music from you in the future?
C: “Absolutely! I am planning on releasing my first-ever EP before the year ends, stay tuned!”
What message do you have for your fans?
C: “The message I have for my fans to to keep going, keep pursing your passions, keep doing what you love. Don’t let anything make you feel discouraged, but always do your best and think positive and you will succeed in what you do!”
