Mery Diamondz Names Her Dream Collab And Talks About The Inspiration Behind ‘Rockstar’

From music to dancing, Mery Diamondz can truly do it all. She recently released a new single titled ‘Rockstar’. And spoiler alert: it’s a bop!

We had the amazing honor of talking with Mery about her upcoming EP, advice for aspiring singers, and more!

What inspired you to start your career as an artist?

M: “I’ve always known from a young age that I wanted to be an artist. I was introduced to the music world at a young age because my mom’s aunt is a well-known artist from Armenia, and I would listen to her sing, and then eventually I would sing alongside her in her choir.”

What was your favorite part about creating your new single ‘Rockstar’?

M: “Sitting down with my producer and brainstorming ideas, and then figuring out which combination of lyrics and melody is the most appealing.”

What was your inspiration behind ‘Rockstar’?

M: “My inspiration was overcoming obstacles and shutting down the naysayers with my success. Also, being able to make my own artistic decisions drives me to create more music.”

If you could describe your music in three words, what would they be?

M: “Emotional, Powerful, relatable!”

Who would be your dream artist to collaborate with?

M: “DRAKE because I love his musical style.”

Do you have any advice for other aspiring young artists?

M: “Never give up, stay positive, and form a good support team that will help you along the way.”

We hear that they are planning to release an EP in the future! Can you tease what fans can expect? 

M: “Just get ready to dance and party!”
