Who’s ready for some ‘Motivation’!
Aries Marquis is an R&B artist you need to know. Today, he released a new single titled ‘Motivation’.
We had the amazing honor of talking with Aries about the music industry, his upcoming music, and more!
What is the story behind your amazing new single, ‘Motivation’?
A: “Motivation was conceived in my mind one night while I was driving. I started thinking, in retrospect, about the many times I needed that extra push. I thought about my listeners, who I wrote my music about, who I wrote my music for, who it was making the most impact on, who embraced me the most…and it all came down to some really wonderful ladies! This is when I realized I should make this song as a dedication to them being a huge reason for why I write, sing, perform, and who I am as an artist! I am grateful for the motivation and inspiration they’ve given me throughout this journey.”
How would you describe your music in one world?
A: “I would describe my music as “Empathetic”. I feel that my music is able to touch the listener in a way that they can relate to the words and true experiences I write about and express.”
Who is a musician you’d love to collaborate with in the future?
A: “Although my list is vast, I would love to collab with Jazmine Sullivan, Shawn Mendes, Ed Sheeran, Giveon, Fantasia, and many others.”
What do you think is the state of the music industry today, and where do you think it will go in the future?
A: “I believe that the music industry is at a point where it has no limits to where it can go. I remember when streaming became a huge part of the industry, and many believed it to be the demise of the music industry as we knew it. Fast forward, and labels and artists are thriving at enormous paces. With that being said, as long as the industry (artists and labels) is able to adapt to the changes, the future of the industry is bright.”
Where is your dream venue to perform?
A: “This might be a broad answer, but I really want to perform in any theatre or arena-sized venue to a packed house. I love performing to large masses, and hope that I can get the chance to do this more often in the future.”
Besides music, what other ventures would you like to pursue?
A: “Outside of music, I really want to do non-profit work. I want to help heal people in this world, change lives for the better, and make an impact on people that are helpless and hopeless. I do what I do to serve others.”
Can we expect to see more music from you in the future?
A: “Definitely! I already have new concepts that I am working towards as far as singles, and maybe an EP, next year, but I definitely will be releasing new music after the release of Motivation.”
Where can we follow your amazing journey?
A: “You can definitely follow me on Instagram @ariesmarquis, which is my most active social media page, and look me up on Spotify, Apple, Youtube, or any streaming site as Aries Marquis.” Follow: Website I Spotify I Instagram I Twitter I Facebook I Youtube
