We are so excited for her EP!
Lexi Aviles, known in the music industry as Love You Later, keeps releasing amazing songs one after another. She recently released a single titled “Are You Gonna Care When I Die?”
We had the amazing honor of talking with Love You Later about her upcoming performances, and more!
When did you first realize that you wanted to pursue a career in music?
L: “It’s pretty much always been something I’ve worked towards. I never knew anything else. I was always immersed in music in some form or fashion throughout growing up and it was just a no-brainer that I would continue to pursue that. I’ve always needed music that same way I need water or fresh air.”
How did you come up with your stage name Love You Later?
L: “I always wish I had a better answer for this question, lol – when I first started writing the songs for what would soon be, Love You Later, I was mainly writing songs inspired by relationships, and love, or lack thereof. I knew I wanted a moniker instead of my real name, and the name ‘Love You Later’ kind of rolled off the tongue and felt right.”
Tell us more about your amazing new single, “Are You Gonna Care When I Die?”
L: “Are You Gonna Care When I Die?” is a song that’s been in the making for a while now. I wrote it with Garrison Burgess (of The Band CAMINO) and Reagan Renfrow back in 2021. I always knew it was a special track but wanted to save it for the right time. It felt perfect for this EP, so we went back into the studio to finish it this year and it quickly became one of my favorites off the new project.”
If you could collab with any music artist, who would it be and why?
L: “Definitely MUNA – I think we would make such a banger. They’re all so cool and seem so down to earth and funny. I just feel like we’d get along and also make a bop.”
In addition to playing a release show in Nashville, you are also going to be performing in NYC and LA soon! What is your favorite aspect of performing live?
L: “Yes, I’m so excited for these shows. They’re going to be really special. I have a whole new set and other surprises in store for these shows. My favorite part of playing live has definitely got to be connecting with the fans live and in person. Seeing their reactions and their smiles and watching them sing the words will never get old.”
You have received millions of streams on your music already. What has been your reaction to your success?
L: “It’s truly surreal to think that many people have listened to my music. I’ve never had a huge team or anyone really pushing my music on the industry side of things. It’s much more fulfilling to know it’s all organic and it’s all real fans and real people.”
Can you tease what fans can expect from your upcoming EP, ‘From The Window Seat’?
L: “The EP includes some of my favorite songs I’ve ever written, I’m so excited to release it!”
Where can we follow your amazing journey?
L: “You can follow me on socials @heyloveyoulater or stay up to date on my website heyloveyoulater.com :).”
