We are huge fans of Jordan!
From Smile Squad to Netflix, Jordan Nichole Wall is an actress you need to know. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she is bringing Down syndrome awareness to the entertainment industry.
We had the amazing honor of talking with Jordan about how millions of people have watched her work, her favorite things to do when not acting, and more!
What do you love the most about acting?
J: “I love waking up to reality when the director says “cut” after an emotional scene. I love being the center of attention and receiving compliments.”
You starred in Netflix’s ‘The Politician’! How does it feel to have made your Netflix debut?
J: “It was very exciting when I got to do a scene with Ben Platt. He was super nice! He was 28 years old and played a high school student. I always play younger, too, so it made me happy. I think I will still be able to play a teenager when I am 28.”
You are also starring in the film ‘Super Powers’. What was that experience like?
J: “It was fun even though the film was very serious. I loved working with my stage sister and the director. I just saw them when ‘Super Powers’ premiered at TLC Chinese Theater. They feel like family.”
How important do you think Down syndrome representation is in the entertainment industry?
J: “It is very important for the world to know people with disabilities are just people and not scary or weird.”
What advice can you give to young girls with Down syndrome who want to pursue a career in acting?
J: “You can do it, too. It’s not hard.”
What has been your reaction to knowing that Millions of people have watched your work?
J: “It’s hard to believe and amazing. Strangers sometimes recognize me!”
When not acting, what are some of your favorite things to do?
J: “Hanging out with my boyfriend and other friends. Bowling. Dance classes (ballet and hip hop). Eating. Watching TV. Diamond art painting.”
