Alexa Cappelli Talks About New Single ‘Someone Better’ And Teases Her Upcoming Album

With over 700K+ monthly listeners on Spotify, Alexa Cappelli is quickly becoming a music star on the rise. She recently released a new single entitled ‘Someone Better’.

We had the amazing honor of talking with Alexa about her dream collabs, Natalie Jane, and more!

We haven’t talked to you since November! How have you been?

A: “HI! I’ve been so good. Thanks for having me!”

Tell us more about your amazing new single ‘Someone Better’.

A: “This song is special to me because it showcases a side, or type of, a breakup that acknowledges good things about the person, even though it still has come to an end. There are going to be lovers that cross paths in life that might not be it for the long haul and realizing that is so difficult. Maybe even more difficult than when the person had nothing but red flags.”

If you could collab with any artist, who would it be and why?

A: “I’m a sucker for a female pop anthem or even a duet ballad. Quite a range there, but I’m a fan of The Band Camino, UPSAHL, Sabrina Carpenter, Ruel, Anne-Marie, and would be honored to work with them!”

You recently opened for fellow artist Natalie Jane. What was that experience like for you?

A: “Natalie is a gem and can sing like nobody’s business! I had the best time performing and getting to meet her fans. I’d love to go on tour soon, either as an opener for someone or my own headline!”

You have over half a Million monthly listeners on Spotify! What has been your reaction to
your success? Is there anything you want to say to your fans?

A: “I love my fans, they know this. We have the best time on livestreams every week, in my comment sections, and my team and I are very intentional about including them in the process of every release!”

Do you have a name for your fanbase? If not, do you have any ideas?

A: “They have names for themselves, but nothing has quite stuck to me yet. Oh – except “alexa’s ciabatta’s” … because of my love for a good ciabatta loaf, and the slight twist on my last name. LOL, we’ll keep thinking.”

We hear that you are planning to release your debut album! Can you tease what fans can expect?

A: “This project is a collection of experiences that I’ve learned through, that have led me to become who I am, and are propelling me to become who I am to be. The teasers have been making their way to the fans who are looking for them. However, sometimes I’ll post a picture of a matcha latte and get question marks… my matcha is not a hint. I just love matcha.”
