Get to know this country star!
With thousands of streams on his music and a fanbase growing every day, singer Donice Morace is quickly catching the attention of the country music industry. His newest single, and already a hit, is ‘Wait Til I’m Gone’.
We had the amazing honor of talking with Donice about his growth as an artist, his biggest music inspirations, and more!
When did you first realize that you wanted to pursue a career in music?
D: “Watching, as a kid, hometown boys, Mark Chesnutt, Tracy Byrd, and Clay Walker make it . They made my pipe dreams seem attainable.”
Tell us about your new release “Wait ‘Til I’m Gone.” What is the story behind this song?
D: “Well it’s the last part of a trilogy of songs we put together telling a story of love and love gone wrong. It’s about losing something you care about while trying to keep your composure. It’s real life.“
We’ve loved getting to follow along on your radio tour journey in support of “One Drink In.” What was that experience like for you and what do you enjoy most about a radio tour?
D: “I’m a relationship driven person. So I love connecting face to face with those folks who believe in me, who put me on the airwaves and have promoted me.”
Who do you credit as your biggest music inspirations?
D: “I mentioned those local guys earlier. Aside from them, I’d say Keith Whitley, George Strait, Conway Twitty, Jones and Haggard really had the biggest musical influence on me. Guess I like the old stuff a little.”
How do you think you’ve grown as both an artist and as a person since your debut EP back in 2017?
D: “Oh there’s countless ways. Vocally, having Trent Willmon produce me…brought me out of my safe zone and really progressed my style. I’d have to give Kevin Fowler a lot of credit for my live show being so energized.”
What has been your reaction to surpassing over half a million streams on just Spotify alone?
D: “I wasn’t aware of this statistic, but it absolutely blows my mind. It encourages me, because I know it’s just the tip of the iceberg for what we are capable of. I really have a great team and a loyal fanbase.”
Can we expect more music from you in the future?
D: “Funny you should mention that. Yes, there is a full album that will be dropping later this year.”
Where can we follow your amazing journey?
D: “You guys can follow me on my website donicemorace.com and also on Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok at @donicemoracemusic.”
