Back and better than ever!
From ‘Black Panther’ to ‘Superstore’, Seth Carr is definitely a star on the rise. He is currently continuing his leading role as ‘Sticky’ in the new season of Disney +’s ‘The Mysterious Benedict Society’.
We had the amazing honor of talking with Seth about his favorite episode from Season 1, his love of basketball, and more!
When did you first realize that you wanted to pursue a career in acting?
S: “I’ve been in the industry since I was 3 months old, but it wasn’t until I was around 4 or 5 years old that I realized I wanted to make a career out of it.”
We can’t wait for season two of ‘The Mysterious Benedict Society’! What was your reaction to getting renewed?
S: “I was extremely excited to get a 2nd season especially because this time we were filming in LA. Even though filming in another country is fun, I have to admit I get home sick after 3 months.”
Do you have a personal favorite episode/scene/character from the first season?
S: “I would have to say episode 4 from season 1 mainly because it deals with anxiety and I feel that Sticky’s character was and is relatable to a lot of people who may deal with moments of panic attacks/anxiety.”
Are you close with the other Society kids in real life?
S: “I’d say we are close and have a unique bond considering we are all so different from one another in real life. I feel like the big brother of the group.”
Can you tease what fans might expect to see in the upcoming season?
S: “Without giving anything away I’ll say this much…let’s just say we have a lot of cliffhangers and smiling faces.”
Now that you are officially a part of the Disney family, do you have an all-time favorite Disney movie or show?
S: “I would have to say my all time favorite Disney/Marvel Movie is Black Panther.”
How do you balance your successful acting career and your school life?
S: “I balance acting and school by sometimes taking breaks for maybe a month or so of not auditioning and focusing on my academics and playing basketball. I find that loving other things besides acting keeps me grounded and I feel like a normal kid who gets to do cool things.”
You have worked alongside several star-studded casts. Is there an actor you look up to that you would love to work with in the future?
S: “I honestly look up to them all, I’ve learned so much from each of them as individuals and just being in their presence keeps me motivated to always stay on top of my craft as an actor.”
You’re amazing at basketball, so we have to ask: Who’s your current favorite team?
S: “When it comes to Basketball I should probably say the Lakers since I’m from LA but it’s the Golden State Warriors, I just love how they work as a team and I mean who doesn’t love a winning championship team.”
Where can we follow your amazing journey?
S: “To follow my journey you can catch up on The Mysterious Benedict Society on Disney + and then on Oct 26th watch our 2 episode premiere of Season 2 and follow me on IG @sethbcarr.”
