We have the ‘scoop’. Get it?
If you are looking for some affordable family fun, we definitely recommend the Museum of Ice Cream in NYC. And even if you’re not in New York, you’re in luck! They currently have US locations in Austin and Chicago.
One of our amazing NYC reporters, Nora Anzer, gave us all of the sweet details of her recent experience:
“When I first stepped into the MOIC I was greeted with a very sweet start to my experience. Workers welcomed me and gestured to a mini freezer full of pink popsicles when I walked in. I entered a pink hallway and was able to learn some fun ice cream facts before I got a name tag and picked my ice cream name. Then, I entered a brightly lit room filled with pink wallpaper and was told that I would have access to unlimited ice cream throughout the museum. The pink soft swerve was definitely one of my favorites but I also tried chocolate, sorbet and various other amazing flavors.
From there I was able to enter rooms as I pleased and I really appreciated that it was self-paced and I was able to take my time in each room. No room was the same as the one before it and my favorite included the sprinkle pool and slides. What I liked most about it was the fact that the experience was something that both kids and adults could enjoy and it definitely felt like it catered to both audiences. Overall, I would say that the Museum of Ice Cream was such a fun experience and definitely kept me on my feet.”-Nora Anzer, New Scene
