Gabriella Stella Returns To NS To Talk About The Texas Music Scene And Her New Single

A star on the rise!

Singer-songwriter Gabriella Stella has shown that she has gotten better and better with each release! And now, she’s back with a brand new single ‘R.I.P (Dead 2 Me)’.

We had the amazing honor of talking with Gabriella about her favorite clothing stores, her growth as an artist, and more!

Hey Gabriella! The last time we spoke to you was back in January of 2021 (We are so proud
of you!). How have you been since then?

G: “Thank you for having me back, I have been busy working on new music. I am always working
on finding myself and trying to better myself as an artist. It’s been great to play shows again and
put my name out there.”

How do you think you’ve grown as both an artist and as a person since the release of
‘Paranoid’?

G: “I feel like I am finally coming into my own vulnerability. My music has always been a reflection of
my past or present. During the pandemic I was able to focus more on my songwriting, and
digging deeper into that. “Paranoid” was a different sound for me, but I loved the way it made
me feel while recording it. So when I started my new wave of music I wanted to dive more into
that.”

Tell us more about your amazing new single ‘r.ip.(dead 2 me).

G: “This song is a look into a relationship that is toxic and needs to be killed off. No one deserves to
be anxious due to a certain situation. The phrase “you can’t pick your family” rings very true to
me. But that doesn’t mean you have to keep someone around because they are family. This
song I am really opening up about my relationship to my father. It’s a very tumultuous and
chaotic situation. At the end of the day, abuse of any kind is abuse and you aren’t alone.
Remember one thing you don’t have to stay in the abuse, you can walk away at any point.”

We have to say that we are totally obsessed with your fashion. What are your go-to brands to
shop?

G: “Thank you, fashion has always been something that I have loved. It’s a way for me to express
my emotions without opening my mouth. My favorite stores currently are Edikted, Adika,
Amazon, and Brandy Melville.”

How would you personally describe the Texas music scene?

G: “What I love about the music scene, you can find a mix of country/pop/rock/alternative/rap all in
one place. I have been able to grow up around some great musical acts. My sound definitely reflects a mix of all these sounds. Maybe not country but definitely all of the rest of the genre.”
