The next Amazon Original film you need to watch.
This Amazon movie is a live-action retelling of the Newberry Honor award-winning novel of the same name. And it definitely did the book justice.
Full of talented creatives we have known to love, including Joe Alwyn and Bella Ramsey (HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’), the casting of the movie proved to be all of the right decisions.
Our amazing entertainment reporter Jojo sat down and watched the film and had nothing but positive things to say:
“Lena Dunham’s sense of humor shines again through this story set in medieval times. Maintaining a sense of lightness, innocence and fun- she makes us fall in love with Birdy (Catherine) and her universe. She is a girl who is ahead of her time, and challenges all social mandates for women in her own way. But don’t let this fun tone fool you, Lena Dunham made sure to highlight all the jaw dropping realities people at that time really had to live through, and the types of decisions they had to make.“-Jojo Gentil
‘Catherine Called Birdy’ is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, starting tomorrow/October 7th.
