Madison Skye Validum On ‘Ivy + Bean’, Dream Co-Star, And Upcoming Christmas Films

This young actress just made her Netflix debut!

You might notice this performer from her incredible modeling career over the years. But now, Madison Skye just made her TV debut by starring as ‘Bean’ in the new Netflix adaptation series ‘Ivy + Bean’.

We had the amazing honor of talking with Madison about her current favorite shows, modeling career, and more!

When did you first realize that you wanted to pursue a career in acting?

M: “I realized that I wanted to pursue a career in acting when I saw my two older brothers going on their acting jobs. I would always ask my mom why I was not getting auditions and she would always say that when God wanted it to be the time it would be my time. And I remembered when I worked on the last “Toys R Us” Christmas catalog I loved every moment of it which was taking pictures, getting my hair done, and following directions from the directors.”

Tell us about your amazing character ‘Bean’ in the Netflix series ‘Ivy and Bean’.

M: “Bean is a fun and exciting character that loves to create new things by using her imagination. When she has an idea to create something she is all in and makes it happen.”

Do you think you have anything in common with your character? 

M: “Bean is fun and adventurous and uses her imagination to create new things and I also like that.”

This was your first experience on a TV set! What was this like for you?

M: “I had a great time on set with the director working with the great Elissa Downs she was amazing!! She always made me laugh and we always had fun on set. It was also a pleasure working with all of the cast and the set team were all great as well.”

If you could act alongside any actress, who would it be and why?

M: “I would like to act alongside Zendaya because she looks like a great person to work with, and because she started her career young like me I could learn a lot.”

What are some of your current favorite shows?

M: “My favorite shows are “Victorious” and “Gravity Falls”.”

Can we expect to see more of you on our screens soon?

M: “Yes, I worked on two additional movies one for Netflix called “Best Christmas Ever” and “Dashing Through the Snow” which will air on Disney Plus.”
