Jami Alix Talks About Her Netflix Debut, Dream Co-Stars, And Teases Upcoming Role

This Netflix actress is amazing!

Jami Alix recently rose to fame with her Netflix debut in ‘Boo B****’, which makes for a perfect film to re-watch for Halloween!

We had the amazing honor of talking with Jami about challenging yourself, favorite Netflix show, and more!

When did you first realize that you wanted to pursue a career in acting?

J: “I was a highly emotional kid, and I truly needed a safe place to put all those emotions. For me, acting feels like a way to connect to my younger self and give her a place to belong.”

‘Boo B****’ is your first major role! Tell us more about your character ‘Lea’.

J: “Lea is a LOT. I am also a lot, and that’s probably why it was so easy for me to understand her perspective on life. The stakes are so high for every situation she’s in, and it often feels like life or death. The thing I love the most about her is that she is so unapologetic about what she wants and how she’s going to get it.”

Now that you are officially a part of the Netflix family, do you have a personal favorite Netflix original movie/ tv series?

J: “OF COURSE! New Girl is my addiction. I also am obsessed with all the true crime documentaries they’ve been coming out with.”

Do you have any fun stories from your experience on set?

J: “Too many to even recount truthfully, but the best part was making lifelong friendships that immediately felt like family while filming.”

You have already worked alongside amazing actresses! Is there an actress that you would love to work with in the future?

J: “This is always my favorite question because the answer is never-ending. I would LOVE to work with Kate Winslet, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston… the list goes on.”

What advice would you give to young girls that want to follow your footsteps and go into the acting industry?

J: “Don’t wait. Start now. Get into class and challenge yourself. It won’t be easy because everything good always comes with challenges, but if you feel like it’s something you’re itching to explore, do it now because the right time doesn’t exist.”

Can you tease any upcoming roles you have coming up?

J: “You may or may not see me playing a very different character in Netflix’s ‘Freeridge!’
