Music Artist Dustin Collins Talks About His New Single ‘Gone’ And Teases Upcoming Album

Dustin Collins first made headlines after hitting the amazing milestone of being a Billboard N.1 charting artist, and accomplishing this several times in his career so far. And now, he’s back today with the release of his new single ‘Gone’.

We had the amazing honor of talking with Dustin about his favorite hobbies, current favorite artist, and more!

When did you first realize that you wanted to pursue a career in music?

D: “I was probably about 21 when I moved to Nashville to give it a solid go.”

Tell us more about your new single “Gone.” What is its meaning to you?

D: “I co-wrote “Gone” with a friend of mine while he was going through a break up. We thought that breakup songs were kinda being done way too sad… breakups aren’t always a bad thing.”

What inspired you to make your upcoming album, a source for giving back to charity?

D: “My new album is a collection of tunes I wrote during the pandemic. I really wanted to it to be a lot more introspective in the sense of letting folks know who I am outside of music.”

You are now a Billboard No.1 artist, because of your previous projects. What was your reaction to this achievement?

D: “It really kinda makes me think anything is possible. It’s always great to be recognized for your work but when it comes from the fans and people that buy my music, it means the world to me.”

If you could collab with any artist in the future, who would it be and why?

D: “I’d have to say at this point Hardy is the guy killing it. 100 percent that guy is one of the best writers in country music.”

When not working on your new music, what are some of your favorite things to do?

D: “I’m an outside kid for sure. Hunting, fishing and golfing are the things that make me happiest.”

Can you tease what else we are going to see in your upcoming album ‘Workin’ Man?’

D: “We have an awesome duet with miss Ashton Shepherd as well as some more heartfelt tunes.”
